Pug birthday.....

Papers- Doodlebug Hip Hip Hooray.
Hi everyone!

I've been playing with my silhouette today for a super cute little Pug card make, isn't he just sooooo cute!! I adore him!!! I've linked the cut file up there ^ . Jennifer is so clever and I just had the most fun making him.

He is originally for a rectangle card and a lot bigger but I just made him smaller to go on the front of a 6x6 square card. His little muzzle and ears are popped up on foam and look so sweet!

Right, I need to go and add my kidney beans into my chilli in the slow cooker for tea tonight. The car is in the garage getting a lovely new ball joint so Scott's mum and dad are fetching Mo from school for us.

Thank you for popping in on me, huge hugs Lou xxx

Hoppy Poppy shakey!!!...........

Charm- Double star.
Sequins from my stash!!
Morning everyone!

I received the most wonderful message and email from the lovely Mary at The Ribbon Girl over the weekend. She had seen my Grandad Goals and asked me if I would like to Guest Design for them for the Use any image challenges for a spell to help me along with my make a card a day goal. Oh my, how super kind and wonderful was that? I was so excited I didn't even need time to think about it, yes of course I would love to Mary Thank you very much!!!

The little bits I chose arrived faster than a snap a day after I ordered them on monday and yesterday I couldn't resist having a play right away!! I know the challenge isn't for a couple more weeks but a girls got to practice right?!!! and I was in a cute mood too so my head went right for shaker card fun and that gorgeous little Hoppy Poppy has a prezzie.

I chose the Mini pack 'wonderland' 6x6 paper pack. It's so sweet, there are a selection of glittered and unglittered papapers in it so a mix of the 2 looks just dreamy together but my favourite choose was the super sweet little Double star charm. It's so pretty and ever so shiny. I threaded it onto the Natural button twine and popped a teeny dab of clear hot glue on the underside to get it to stick to Poppy's circle.

I kept looking at Poppy and thinking she needed a little bit of festive snow or blingles around her and decided to go for my White Opal liquid pearls. I know there are a tonne of new things on the market but I am absolutely sure there will never be anything more scrumptious than liquid pearls and the white opal and platinum ones are my absolute faves.

Well, that's me for today. I've school run'd, walked Tyson and I am going to have another little play with my bits and get the challenge card ready for a couple of weeks time before I go to fetch Mo. Today I am holding onto to my tears the best I can because I have managed to cry out my eyelashes!!! they were still delicate after chemo and seem to of washed away with all the tears! what a noodle brain I am!! thank you for popping in, huge hugs Lou xxx

Mermaid treasure box....

Image- Merrie Mermaid from Tiddly Inks.
small magnetic close box from The Works.
Morning everyone,

I hope you are all pootling along to wonderful wednesdays. I am just sitting in my craft room and drinking a nice tall glass of lemon and cucumber water (...I will detox myself from chemo and rads.....and spent all night popping to the loo for a wee!! bwah ha ha ha!!) and taking some photos of this supercute box I made with Merrie Mermaid from Tiddly Inks last week.

It's just a little magnetic closing box from the works but when I saw it I knew it would be a fun little project for me. I didn't get to share it properly on my blog last week with Grandad passing so I thought I'd show you it today. Her hair is actually all glittery and fun but it wouldn't show in the photo, I've popped the video Scott took for me a bit further down this post as it shows her a little better in natural light.

The gorgeous die cuts on the top and sides of the box are from my last Doo Hickey set, I adore the little seahorse!! I covered my box with some watercolour design paper and then added my die cuts, then a good all over the box splodgey covering of decopatch glossy glue to protect them.
 and here's the video!!

Right, I'm off to nibble some berries and greek yoghurt, the mission to loose some blubber is on!!! Thank you for popping in, huge hugs Lou xxx

Baby Boy Shadow Box......

Boy word.(1.75 size)
Hi everyone!

Today's make is an MIC one. I had a rough day yesterday feeling sad so I got myself to work on something like Grandad would want me to.

I had an awesome pile of chippies from Zoe I wanted to get playing with and thought hey, I'll combine a few!! I listed them all up there ^ under my photo.

I covered my little shadow box with some gorgeous papers from my Maja Spring basics 6x6 papers. Then it was onto to the super cute little New baby elements! oh my!! I LOVE that set!!

I coloured them up with my promarkers and glued them along the little washing line. Then I popped out some of the teeny weeny stars and glued them onto some iridescent thread and attached them to the inside lip at the top, ooooh they look too cute!!!

Next it was onto the words Baby and Boy. I coloured those up with my promarkers too and added a bit of clear sparkle pen to them before giving them a good splodge of glossy accents to set them off.It really worked well and it looks so pretty. Here's a closer look at the word baby.....

Right,I need to go to fetch my little man really. He is being super brave and auditioning for the pantomime that they do at school once he finishes classes today but he wanted me to go at the same time as normal incase he has ' an unbrave moment' and wants to come right home! bless him!

Thank you for popping in on me, huge hugs Lou xxx

Hurricane Donation Set....

Hi everyone,

I'm sorry I've not blogged much this week. My Grandad has been quite poorly again and on Thursday morning with my aunty,my mum and I super close by him my Grandad went off on his journey to be with my nana. I rang Scott as he had stayed home with Mo and asked him to tell Mo. As soon as he told Mo a beautiful rainbow appeared out of the window they were looking out of! It wasn't raining at the time so Mo knew it was a sign from my Grandad for him. Scott was as brilliant as he always is and quickly took a photo for us to keep and print out for Mo.

I am finding it super hard to write that he has passed. He was such a wonderful, kind and gentle man and he did so much for so many people that I truly feel the world has lost a super special man. I know that my heart is broken by his loss but I also know that he so deserved to be free from pain and returned to the loving arms of my nana after so long without her.

I was grateful to be able to spend some time with my gorgeous cousin Blaize. Together we emptied Grandad's wardrobe on Thursday and took our time to bury our heads into shirts and jumpers that smelt of Grandad. We also had lots of giggles about happy memories of Grandad and tried some of his shoes on. This time with Blaize will remain one of most happy memories and we both definitely needed that time to process our sadness.

This morning whilst struggling through my tears to focus I made some promises to my Grandad and made myself a little project life digital reminder I can print out and look at to keep myself going. I'm never afraid of feelings you know, I just roll with them and let myself be me. Hiding stuff or pretending otherwise is not healthy....plus who needs Botox when you have super puffy lips and cheeks from your crying face?but being sad is not what my Grandad would of wanted and I know he's happy up there having a honeymoon period with my beautiful nana so this morning I have made myself some Grandad Goals for me to follow because he would of loved that.

So to start off my goals of a  card a day, I've got a post for you tonight using the fabulous Limited time Hurricane Donation Set of the card I made today.

The magic thing about this wonderful set is that $5 from every purchase will be donated to Animal Rescue and GoFundMe's Direct Impact Fund for hurricane victims. There 4 new stamps and 7 sentiments for the discounted price of $12.

So if you want to help those affected by Harvey and Irma, and get a bargain in the process make sure you pop in and buy this wonderful set before the end of September.
I used a sentiment from my stamps stash for my card but you get 7 super sweet sentiments with the set you can use!!

Thank you for popping in, hugs Lou xx

Sailor boy birthday......

Image- Sailor Boys set.

Hi everyone!

Its Monday morning BST so that means it's time for a Mo's Digital Pencil post as it's my Dream Team day to post.

For some reason I just fancied making a birthday card with one of the gorgeous little boys from the Sailor Boys set. I love this one from the set, his little boat is so sweet.I love the vintage feel and that gorgeous curly longer hair.

I glossy accented around the bottom of his little boat so it looked like water for the little boat to float on.

Today is my last radiotherapy session. It's gone so quickly! I made 4 yummy loaf cakes to take for the amazing team who have looked after me. I did a Banana bread, Lime and Coconut cake, Lemon Drizzle cake and a Dark Chocolate cake. I am hoping that covers all bases for what people like to nibble with their cup of tea!! he he!!! they look so scrummy!!

Scott and Mo put in a request for a Dark Chocolate one of their own so I baked them an extra one too! It was a big baking day!!

Scott has taken the day off to celebrate the end of radiotherapy with me. We are going to have a breakfast date once he has picked me up from the hospital! He has to drop me off early with Mo, then take Mo to school and then come back for me. I have been enjoying a wonderful walk down through our towns arboretum to Scott's work to pick up the car since Mo went back to school and I think I really shall miss that walk!

This week I am going to charge my fitbit back up I think and try and get myself back up to those 10,000 steps a day I was doing. I do so love a walk.

Right, time to scoot! I need to get dressed and get myself off to that last session!!

Thank you for popping in, huge hugs Lou xxx

Hairy Monster.......

Image- Hairy Monster from MIC.
Hi everyone!

Yesterday it was my turn to post on the MIC inspiration blog. This month we've had a super fun task of CASE-ing our teamie Deborah's card. I loved that cute little monster so much!!

For my CASE-ing project I decided to take the challenge literally and use an old cookie cutter tin to make Mo a little halloweeen treat tin! It was so much fun! I used up the scraps of paper left from making my Ferris Wheel a couple of weeks ago.

I covered the tin first, sanding down the edges of my papers to make them fit the shape of the tin perfectly. Then I printed my lil monster dude out a few times. I paper pieced him up, oh boy do I love doing that! It's so much fun. I printed him out on the orange cardstock and coloured up his horns and a few of the cocktail bubbles.

Then I cut out his eye and cocktail glass on my white printed out one and coloured them up in a deliciously spooky green colour!! I popped his eye out on some hot glue for some extra dimension. It looks so fab!!

The sentiment is a retired MFT stamps set called Frightfully Fun. I love it, it's one of my favourite halloween sets ever, the sentiments are just so lovely. I stamped it in white and heat embossed it, then cut it out in a fishtail banner style.

I've had a wonderfully busy weekend. Yesterday we went and spent some time with Scott's mum,Dad and Nanna at the caravan and had a super fun lunch in the BBQ hut and today I have been busy baking yummy cakes for my amazing radiotherapy team for a thank you as its my last radiotherapy session tomorrow!! I can't believe how quickly it has gone!!

The men of the house decided they needed a cake too so I am just waiting on their dark chocolate loaf to bake now and then my poor oven can have a rest!!!!

Thank you for popping in, hugs Lou xxxx

Mini and many friends shadow box fun......

Image- Mini and Many friends from Tiddly Inks.
Papers- Crate Paper Farmhouse.
Morning all!!

I've been zapped for the day, had a nice womble in the chilly fresh air with my BF's dog and a nice cup of tea to warm up and now I've got some time to mooch around my blog and general internet mooching around while the washer does it's load!

Radiotherapy is going well and I've completed the normal sessions and am onto my booster ones now. I am developing a wonderful sunburn kinda effect on mini boob and my armpit and it's a little sensitive but my radiographer review lady says it's looking really good so I'm ever so pleased. I have just 3 sessions left to go now until this bit is all done! wahoooooooooooo!!! then it will just be my ever so ouchy herceptin injection every 3 weeks until next April along with regular ECG's to check my heart.

So I can't stop playing with my Lawn Fawn shadow box die. It's seriously way too cute and a whole tonne of fun to play with and I have the perfect clear stamp set to go with it in my Tiddly Inks stash, Mini and many friends. She isn't available in rubber anymore but you can still get the digital version HERE, phew!!!
The stamp set is just perfectly sized for use in this little shadow box!! the hardest bit is deciding which cute stamps you are going to use from the set! I went with some of my favourites and then the sentiment from my Chloe and her friends stamp set (that's also retired but luckily available in digital format HERE.)

And the little way you can line them all up inside is so cute!! you can add as many of the little hills as you like but I've only ventured 2 lots so far!!
Well, I had better go and do some exploring and get myself some inspiration of what to make today. I am finding the quiet of Mo back at school and Scott back at work after months of company a bit strange! It's too quiet without the comforting hustle and bustle of their voices!! I need to get back into the swing of Lou-ness!!!

Thank you for popping in, hugs Lou xxx

Life is like a balloon........

 Hi everyone!

I'm finally back in blogland with a post for you today and I am sharing my make for the fabulous september challenge over on Mo's Digital Challenges facebook page. Last week got smooshed in Little Mo going back to school and rads appointments so I didn't get much crafty time at all.

Thursday was my first day all alone with no Mo or Scott since february and it felt strange!! I'll have to get back into the swing of that a bit I think, it's going to take some training for me but with some yummy crafty bits I'm sure I'll pootle back into Lou-ness in no time!!!

For my share today I used just the little Bronte flying off with her gorgeous balloon harness for a very special friend who is going through a very tough time. Bronte set off in an envelope on thursday so should soon be in her new home! the bottom part is a shaker with some lovely sequiny fun inside.

Here's some more deets about our september challenge! we'd love to see you join in!!

If you don't have the three-stamp set "Life is Like a Balloon" already, here's a coupon code for 30% off so you can grab it! The code is UPANDAWAY.

Thank you for popping in! hugs Lou xxx

Make Lemonade...

Image- Make Lemonade.
Morning all!!

Its time for a new challenge over on the Tiddly Inks challenge blog and this month it's one of my absolute favourites.....our theme this month is...

Anything Goes!!

So let your creativity flow with any of your Tiddly Inks images!!

(**remember...We love to see any new creation, a card, 3D project, journal page etc
but you must use a Tiddly Inks stamp or image **)

I decided to use my super cute little Make Lemonade image. She comes with the best sentiment ever and it's too sassy not to just make a card with it in mind!!! I really enjoyed sitting and making my card. Those gorgeous just kind of stepping into autumn colours of my papers and the layers and tearing was just sop relaxing and fun.

Her pitcher, lemons and sunglasses are all glossy accented but as always....I am an epic fail on the taking a photo of that effect-ness!! bwah ha ha ha!!!

Right, I need to stop waffling on. Rads is a 8am and it's the last day of the holidays for my little guy before he returns to school tomorrow.

Sticky........

Image- Sticky.
Morning everyone!

I'm in for you today with a little bit of a christmassy creation! I am totally blaming my christmas obsession at the minute on our gorgeous Elin who posted a picture of one of her WIP's the other day and got me feeling all festive!!!

But its ok, because Sticky came to the rescue when he plopped out of my printer and made me smile the whole way through colouring him! My friends little boy is teething right now so I tried to give sticky that kind of blotchy ouchy cheek look as he chomps down on that candy cane to get those teeth through!!!

My radiotherapy is a late one today at 11:30am! I am used to being there quite early so I've got that 'mmmm, I've forgotten something feeling' at the minute!! so I'm just having a little bloggy womble while I am waiting for my omeprazole tablet to settle in so I can have some breakfast....it sounds like their is a fully awoken after hibernation bear in my tummy right now!! he he!!

Yesterday Scott took us to Meadowhall for an almost back to school treat for Mo. He had a £10 build a bear voucher to spend and some Lego store pennies so off we went. We had the most wonderful day just looking around, Mo chose some super fun Lego. He got the halloween set,a new car and a little rocket racoon lego dude keyring. Some sweeties from the amarican sweet shop they have in there just topped his day off, he was on cloud 9 bless him.

I spent some pennies in Lush. The young lady who helped me was completely amazing. I was so sorry not to catch her name but she had a beautiful blue columella piercing and long brown curly hair. I needed some advice on some products to help my scalp get back into a good place for growing my hair well. She helped me to find a beautiful shampoo bar. Then it was onto finding something to help me relax more at night as I continue with my recently started radiotherapy and she showed me 'Sleepy' which smells just fabulous. Mo was most happy to hear her advice on the Eskimo bubble bar he loved as he normally gets a bath bomb but loved the look of the Eskimo bubble bar!! He's most looking forward to using it later as we were too sleepy to use it last night!!.She very kindly sorted out a sample of 'Roots' treatment too and a beautiful surprise of a soft couer massage bar. I cannot put into words how special this all felt to me, what a wonderful member of staff they have in her.

Right, I can calm the bear no longer!! it neeeeeeeeeeds toast and honey!!!Thank you for popping in, hugs Lou xxx
