more valentines inspiration!!

well, I couldn't get my blog to load pictures last night so I thought I would try it before I go to work!!!!

So here are some of the first cards I ever made when I got my cricut and downloaded the trial version of ds, I thought these cards had a 'love' feeling to them!!

The cute guy in the kebab card is my little mo but you could easily change the photo for a valentines greeting!!

lacy's shadowbox card

Many, many thanks to Lacygilbertson from the cricut mb for this gorgeous shadow box file. I thought it would be a good addition to the valentines card inspiration I am going for at the moment!!!!

I made this card a while ago from a cut file that Lacy shared on the mb, i loved it and made one as a thankyou to Lacy for the file, i am sure if you pm her she will still have the file.

Envelope shaped card that could be a 'Love Letter' card?!!

I thought this one might make a good 'Love Letter' card with a few hearts instead of the flowers?!!

Explosion box 'I love you'

I was sat thinking last night what I could post today, I decided on posting a few cards I have made that I think would make lovely valentines cards if they are changed from the birthday greetings to a valentiney one!!!!! I thought it might inspire anyone stuck for ideas that are a little different!!
This is the explosion box I made for my dad to give to my mum on her birthday, He was so chuffed with it.

I am taking part in my first challenge!!!!

oooh I am so excited!!!! I am taking part in my first challenge on the cricut mb, heres a copy of our rules!!! (shamelessly copied and pasted from nilda's op!!)
This is our January teams... you can decide on a team name on your own... and if you want a team captain.its up to you ... here is how this will work
1. Create a LO or Card with the numbers 2009 .
2. Your creation must have 2009 cut from a cricut cartridge
3. When you have your project ready to post , your team must create a Thread with the Title " January Cricut Team Challenge (your team name).
4. Every team member needs to post under their same team thread (no individual threads..this will make it easier for voting )
5. All projects need to be posted no later that January 29th, voting will be open the 30th and 31st. ..anything posted after the 29th will not be considered for voting

Check out my teams logo (team one)one the right hand side column!!My big sister, Sam, is amazing and she drew the fairy, it is part of a portfolio we are putting together to make into image stamps to sell but we are slow!! Rebecca added the words and hey presto a little logo was born.

Finally posting little mo's birthday card!!!

Hellloooo everybody!!! I am finally getting round to posting little mo's birthday card for you!! Sorry but it is not a great photo as the card has been held by my little man and is a little squished!! (oh well, at least I know he liked it!!)

He loves Go Diego and here in the UK we don't have too much Diego stuff around so I headed straight for the nickjnr website (the US one has some really cool craft things on it for little guys) and clicked on Go Diego and there were some scrapbooking page downloads (ooooh!!!) so I printed them out on some card and printed a couple of Diego's to layer him up a little ( the rope was fiddly!!!!lol!!!)

Mo is at that age where he loves seeing his name on things so I popped some foam letters on the front and glittered glued them (because he sparkles my life so I felt he needed bling!!)

It is a really simple card but really has been well loved my little man!!!

oooh thankyou ted!! i got a slideshow!!!

I was doing my normal wimble around the blogs I love today and whilst on teds, I had a look at his slideshow ( his cards are great) so I decided to have a go at doing one!!! I am a little bit pants at the whole technical thing but once I had mastered it, it was great fun!! then I just had to work out where to put it on my page (decided at the top would be a nice home for it!!) and there we go!!!

I hope you enjoy having a peek at some of the cards I have created, the first card I ever made, with the help of the truly amazing susan ( lou bows to susanbluerobot, she is truly amazing) is the pink and blacky blue card with the handbag on and 'Happy Birthday' down the side. I had only just got my cricut and the trial version of ds on my laptop and went to susans blog to get tutorials, if anyone is interested in susans blog and doesn't know where to find it, there is a link down the right hand side of my blog, if you haven't been there you NEED to go!!!!!!!

woohoo!! finally getting better!!

Well finally and just in time for the new year I am starting to get better!! I have had a really rough couple of weeks with a chest infection but have been feeling much better the last 2 days, now poor hubby is picking it up. I havent really felt up to doing anything while I have been ill, just getting up has been struggle enough so there is only really scotts christmas card to post! I still haven't gotten round to taking a quick picture of mo's birthday card but I wil do that tommorrow.

the fireworks for new year have started already here and there will be loads at 12pm/am!!!! luckily my dog has gone a bit deaf over this last year so hopefully there won't be too much woofing at the daubney house tonight!!!

anyway here's the card, I posted it on the cricut mb I think (things have been a blurgh!!!! lol !!!) I got my inspiration from shelley and used the candy cane at 2" from christmas cheer and forever friends paper, with mulberry paper at the top. I put lots of glitter glue on too but it doesn't show too good on the piccies!!!
