Have a purfect birthday!!!

Hello!!!
Well I have had a lovely day today, the weather has been lovely so I spent a long time with the little people at work outside in the garden, I got brought some beautiful flowers and delicious chocolate crispy cakes from one of my little men who left recently :( , I managed to get dh free tickets to the european open golf in may and my big sister had a fab idea that we should have a night together every week so we are starting that on thursday, its funny, you think you have lots of time to do things and then time just flies away so setting a definate night together has cheered me up a lot. We live quite close together and have employed our dh's to be our taxi firm, one to drop off at my house (my sister's dh)and one to return big sis home (my dh)!!!! so altogether a fab day!!
Thie card is another one I made last night with my forbes & friends stamps. It is for a student at work whose birthday was today. When I made my challenge card I used my photo wizard to print out my huge funky love papers, that way I can make them mat size and still keep all the lovely features of the paper,if I do it this way I can leave a little border of the colour of card I print itout on and it makes matting easier!! I used cream card for this one and had 4 print out on an A4 sheet of paper.
I stamped my cat, coloured it and glazed it.Then stamped the sentiment in a pink on a circle and stamped the fish from the set in black(used my fiskars squeeze punch for the circle)to match the colours of the card and ribbon. Then I inked the egdes of the card and it was done!! this card was real quick as I had all the scraps from my challenge card left to use!!! all I really had to do was the cat!!
Thankyou for looking xxxx

Uk crafters thread wedding challenge card!

Hello everyone!!!!
Well, what a gorgeous day I have had today. We went out early to Rufford Park ( which is just a big, lovely old house and ruins and nature reserve with lots of woodland to play in and a little play village with tunnels and bits for little mo to explore) It was really quiet when we got there so we wombled around the lake and woods first,dh took lots of piccies with his camera and me and mo just enjoyed everything, Zak ( my furbaby) had a whale of a time, soooo many sniffs to be had there!!! It turned out to be beautiful and sunny and I just had a lovely time, I didn't even mind missing Extreme makeover day with Ty !! so itmust of been good!! It was just so nice to have some real time with Little mo with no distractions, real quality time, perfect. It is days like today that help me to remember how blessed I am to have such an amazing husband and children.
So here is my card for the Ukcrafters thread on the cricut mb, nicki set us a challenge to make a wedding card. I have ha the solutions wedding cart since it came out but to be honest I hadn't really used itso this was the perfect opportunity to get it out!!! I cut the rings, doves and glasses at 1" in both shadow and regular cut, inked te edges ith a brown whispers pen(great for fiddly little places wher no kind of inkpad or cats eye will venture!!! and popped a bit of stickles on them to give them some wedding bling!!!!
The background paper is totally gorgeous, it is from 'Huge Funky Love' from http://www.funkyhand.com/ ( anice is having a sale until 10pm tonight so go quickly!! 15% off!!)
I popped some brown ribbon with a bit of pink rik-rak ribbon on top of it and then attached my cuts to it with foam squares. There is a dark brown mat underneath the background paper that I swiss dot embossed with my cuttlebug and chalked the top with cream but then I covered it all up with the cool funkyhand paper!!!!
The sentiment I did on my computer for both the outside and inside of the card, printed in brown to co-ordinate with the papers.I stickled the edges of the sentiment mats to make them look pretty and then popped some foam sqaures on them too. I inked the edges of the card in a pinky colour and hey presto!! its done!!!
I am going to make a quick card for one of our students at work whose birthday is tommorow, I am feeling the need for my forbes and friends woodware stamps again!! and I have a card to do for my dh's mum for her friends birthday so busy, busy, busy!!!!!
Thankyou for popping in.

Practice will make perfect.....it will you know!!!!!

I have had such a fab day today!!! We took the boys to Old Trafford on a tour of Man Utd football club, they loved it. It was our present to our oldest ds who is 9. Their faces were such a treat during the time we were there!!! along with dh who took soooo many pictures!! I learnt lots of dipy chick things like they have water pipes under the pitch to catch the rainfall and then tis water keeps the pitch warm in the winter!! coool!!!
Anyway, time for a blurble about todays piccies!!!! The top picture is mine and the bottom one is my 4 year old Mo's!!! He so has my crafty bug!! he little drawn circley bit on his is (in his words!!) " a mousey hole for the mouse to hide in when mr. cat gets the nibbles!!!!" He is so funny!! I love the little things that children come out with!! they have a rereshing sense of things and it just keeps me giggling on a daily basis with soe of the things mine come out with!!!
I have been practising my stamping again!!!!!! I know it is still a bit dodgy and splodgy but I really do think I am turning a corner with it after my fab stamping class with ali at alicraft.
The stamp set is a woodware clear stamp set called 'forbes and friends'. I used it at the class went to and fell in love with it so my amazing dh got me it for easter!! ( much better than an egg me thinks.....though the chocolate would be nice right now to cheer me up!!! the evil fluey coldy bug has returned!!!)
The little pas are supposed to look like the cat has wombled all over the page ( ali told me to do that and it looks soooo cute!!!) and I curved the sentiment a bit, ali told me about that too (hey, i am new to stamping so don't know you can move them about!!!!)
I am still practising on the colouring side!!! I promise to get better!!!!
Its hard to see in the piccy but the bit with the cat on stands out little and I glazed the cat and the ball of wool and they look cute in 'real life'!! as the ball of wool is kind of round!!
I keep practising as I have a totally gorgeoues tingla in the bath stamp that I am desperate to use but have promised myself not to touchit until I am worthy!!!!!
So thats me for today I think, time to go for a blog womble to see what everybody has been up to and then bed ready for the easter bunny tommorrow. Mo bought an easter hat to decorate and has marbled some eggs that I cut out from my doodlecharms cart so I will post a piccy if we get it made!
Have a lovely easter everyone and I hope the easter bunny is good to you!! ( i am hoping for a greens and black dark chocolate egg!!!)

Team 1- Just buggin away-april challenge entry!!!

Hello everybody, hope you all had a good monday. I had such a nice weekend the thought of work was a bit urghhhh when I woke up this morning!!!!
So todays piccies are of my challenge entry for the april challenge. I am on the just buggin away team which is team 1). I absolutely love these challenges as they are just so much fun, I find it so much easier creating things when there is no pressure and I can just let my mind womble with ideas!! I set the challange this month to use the card function on any cart ( i did this a couple of weeks ago on the UK crafters thread so decided it would be a lovely one for aprils challenge too.) I wanted to do a altered project as I didn't want to make a card again, I wanted to broaden my horizons!!!lol!!! and my BIA has been gathering dust as I get frightened to use it!!! lol!!!!
I worked really hard on this one yesterday. I managed to get the inside ages made in the morning while dh was watching the failed grand prix!! and got the cricut bit cut out ( my big E sometimes disturbs mo at night so i tend not to use it if he is in bed!!)I used the cupcake card key from doodlecharms for this on and used my CDS to stretch it to 6x6, I popped a ribbon on it and attached some bling in the form of the little Anita's gemstones, they are tiny and very gorgeous!!! and made the tag on my computer, the big part of the card is mounted on foam and i stuck the cut out bits straight down onto the cover for a bit of depth, I inked, doodle dotted and stickled the cake before I glazed it.I used cereal boxes covered with paper for the front and back pages and some of my big one paper stack for the inner pages, folded to make pockets for the cards to go in!! the patterns are the same but the colours change. The month journally bits i did on my computer, lots of inking and a few yummy bits of ribbon on the spiney bit!! Phew!!! I think I remembered everything!!
Don't forget to watch this space and I will pop a link to everyones creations on here at the end of the month and members of the cricut mb get to vote for the best team. You should see the amazing things people make.
I really want to get brave enough to use my BIA more, I really should practice more on bigger projects as I struggled a little doing the binding and got some a bit squashy!!! (thankfully I couldn't see it once I had popped the ribbons on.) I want to try a paperbag album next but don't know where to find some nice paper bags in the UK!!!
Anyway, I have waffled on at you all enough so am going to go to bed now!!
Nighty night guys xxxxxxxxx

Vicki's hidden drawer card!!!

Hello!!!
well it is a glorious day here in lincoln, the sun is shining and it is warmish, to be honest just the sight of the sun shining cheers me up.
This is the box that I made for the little girl I used t nanny for. She is getting into crafting quite a lot now and loves dogs. She has a black lab so when I saw this stampI just had to get her it.
I found vicki's fab tutorial for this cute little hidden drawer card, heres the link:

http://angelstamper2.blogspot.com/search/label/Tutorial%20-%20Hidden%20Drawer%20Card
I had to make it a tiny bit bigger to fit the stamp in and please bear in mind that I made this before I went to my stamping class today so it probably isn't the best stamping!!! The stamps are from the inkadoo dogs life clear stamps set ( the cutest dog stamps I have seen!!) I put a bit of 3d glaze over the dogon the front to make it look cute and shiny!!
I stamped with a browny colour as I love pink and brown together and inked the edges with a slightly darker brown to get everything working together nicley. I did a bit of doodling and computer printed the greeting ( I don't like my own handwriting much!!)
I put some decorative shred inside the little drawer and popped the stamp in on top of that.
Thankyou so much Vicki for your lovely tutorials xxxxx

Cuttlebugspot double embossing challenge!!!

Hello!!!
This is my entry for the cuttlebugspot double embossing challenge. I tried (....... and failed!!!) a few different ideas bit this i the one I liked the best.
For the base,I used my swiss dots folder first and then got out one of my little embossing borders and ran it back throughto get the little buttons on. Then I inked theembossed dots with a light blue and the edges of the card buttons in a darker blue and popped a little bit of glaze on them to make them show up. For the centre panel I used swiss dots again and then ran it back through with one of the little stamps embossing folders that came free with my cuttlebug!! I inked the dots with light blue again and the stamp embossed bit with the darker one. Then I popped a bit of glitter glue on the pram to help it stand out. I had a little scrap left from my dots embsossing so I used a corner rounder for the edges and popped it on the inside!!
The second time through sqiushes the first lot of embossing a little bitit still looks quite cool, I enjoyed this one, Thankyou Nilda!!!!!
Check out everybody elses gorgeous cards here:

My big little boy is 9!!!!

Hello everyone!!! I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend, I have got the dreaded coldy lergy again but have had a really, really nice day. We woke up early as always and still not able to take Little mo for his swimming lesson as he has had an awful ear infection and hasn't been able to swim without lots of pain.
So we all jumped in the car and went for a drive to nottingham to go to hobbycraft, I got a couple of tiny bits from there and the had a womble around the range ( i find it a bit muddled in there!!) and got myself some little quickcutz rockers to help me learn how to stamp! Then we spent the afternoon around our kitchen table maikng things, Mo had his bindeez, I was making my challenge card for the UK crafters thread on the cricut mb and scott and ryan were making an airfix plane they bought in hobbycraft!!! The weather was awful today so this was a nice treat for us all.
Monday was my 'big' little boys 9th birthday ( wow, time goes so fast!!!) so me and Mo have been busy making birthday cards. Ryan is a really big football fan so we went with a football theme. I have decided there is nothing more magical than sitting at the table with my 4 year old and making cards, he loves it.
A while ago Enfys made a football card with these football stickers and I loved them, I went and bought them and have been hiding them ever since!!!! For my card I used one of the footballs for the 'o' in son and cut an 's' and 'n' with my doodletye cart. The wording on the card is done on my computer using 'bend it' font from dafont (this has been one of my most used freebie downloads!!!!) and my first attempt at stamping is the footballs on the base card!!!!! ( i know, not great but I am going for a class next week!!) for the inside I printed out a picture of my mini Beckham!! he was very pleased with it.
Mo decided he needed to draw ryan playing football and put a birthday hat on it so it looked like he was playing 'goals' on his birthday!!!! I love his card, it is sooooo cute and he loves making things next to mummy, magic times for me!!!
Thankyou for popping in xxxxxxxx

Grrrrrr day with my glitter glue!!!

Do you ever have one of those cards that you thought about for a couple of days, totally loved making and then get a grrrrrrrr moment?!!!!
Well, that happened to me yesterday!! I made a card that I really like, its a little bit cheeky for my lovely friend ( who is also a little bit cheeky!!!!) I used my pink petticoat cheekies and decided I would glue the frills with irredescent embossing powder to make them sparkle (oooh pretty thought Lou...) it seemed like fab idea to finish it off. I had already glazed the basqe and pants to glitz them up a bit so though this would be a quick finish, I popped some tacky glue on the frills and put the embossing powder on last night thinking it would be dry for the morning, (sharon's birthday today....me thinks i cut it too fine with cardmaking!!!!) how wrong was I?!!!!!! it was still wet when I got up for work this morning and I needed to take it with me but I couldn't.
I felt so bad that I hadn't got it done in time but above you have the piccy of the offending card!!!! totally my fault.
I used my george and all mixed up cart (in shadow for the base and normal in the pink) for the card base and then my glittery sticky paper for the letters for a bit of girly blitz!! I then cut a slightly smaller rounded square for the front mat on the card and ran it through my cuttlebug with the happy birthday embossing folder (it looks really cool in real life but not so cool in the photo, as does the evil glittery frill, grrrrrrr, this card is jinxed!!!) and added a satin black ribbon and bit of adhesive lace with a little white inking on. Little bit of doodling on a couple of the corners with a metallic gel pen.
It says 'birthday suit?!......' on the outside and on the inside it says 'oooh la la!!'
So, sharon I am sorry this was late hunny but it is cute!!!!
Thankyou for popping in xxxxx

Mothers day cards!!!!!!

Helllooooo!!!!!
wow, I have had one of those weeks where my feet haven't touched the ground!!!!
I had serious lack of mojo for my mothers day cards until this morning. I had bought my super duper large pop ups with an idea in mind but it just wouldn't go anywhere in my head,(grrrrrrr, hate it when that happens!!)and I got them out and put them away several times this week!!!
Anyway, god must of been smiling on me last night because I woke up witha fab idea to use on of the swirly squares I had seen on my storybook cart for the back of the card and the it all fell into place. All the swirly bits are from the 7 key in various diferent functions and it made it so pretty. I love swirls but have never used them on a card unles it was my divine swirls embossing folder( have a bug for them now and think everything will be swirly for a while!!) I put some doodle dots on them with my white gel pen to jazz them up a little. I also used the birthday girl frame for the bit to write on and kept the middle, just turned it over so I had the contrast of the double sided paper!!! more pearls for this bit too (my mum is very special so she deserves lots of bling!!)

I cut the M U M using my doodletype cart in both shadow and normal, the pink glittery paper is adhesive, its a bit like vinyl but it cuts like a dream with my cricut, I used it for the front too. I cut 4 rectangles in george and embossed 2 with one of my cuttlebug embossing border strips, I can't remember what the folder set is called. I popped little pearls in the centres of the flowers. I did some inking around the recatangles and the card as I love the way it lifts the edges.

I found the verse on the web this morning and it was just so funny I had to use it!!! it is computer generated.
The little sticker is a forever friends one that came free on one of my magazines, (Little Mo chose which one to use, bless him!!!)
The little bits of ribbon on the top of the card and on the outside to tie the card are from my stash, as is the little made with love heart charm ( i love this charm, use it a lot on personal cards!!)
Phew!!! I think I remembered everything!!!!
Today has been gorgeous here, lots of beautiful sunshine. Scott took me and Mo for a womble around my favourite craft shop, Alicraft, in Lincoln and I bought myself a couple of stamps, my favourite being the tilda in the bath stamp!! and I am going to sign myself up for a beginners stamping lesson to learn how to stamp (I am not great at it!!!)
Right I am going to snuggle up with Scott and watch a film now so see you all soon!!! Thankyou for popping by xxxxxx
