Party Edwin!!!

Hello peeps!!!!!
just a quicky for tonight as I am pooped out after a lovely day with 2 of my favourite men!!! ( nope not ty from xtreme makeover and simon baker.....dh and ds!!!)
This is my card for the male card challenge over on the cricut mb uk crafters thread.The challenge was a male card with a button on!!! (to get to this card I had 3 other attempts that lined my bin beautifully!!!!)
I finally decided to give myself a days break from it and went to play at my very lovely new friend fiona's house on thursday night and she let me stamp some of her magnolia stamps, i took a shine to this party edwin one nd stamped myself a couple in between snuggling fiona's new puppy spencer!!!
I took them home and placed them on my table but it was too late for me to play with him when i got home from fiona's and the rest of my week has been so busy!!
Finally last night I had a good chance to play and painted him up a bit. I popped some stickles on the tiny stars and inked the edges up. I used a bit of my big one stack to pop on the card base it says happy birthday and best wishes all over it. I stuck that down to my scalloped card base and inked the edges of that too.
Then i popped my ribbon on and threaded some through the holes in my little blue button ( lol!!! that was tricky!!!!!) and woo-hoo my card was done!!!!
I am loving my stamping attempts at the moment! I keep practising my colouring and I am really gettng into the swing of it!!

Another mothers day card!!!!

I have woken up in such a great mood today!!!!! I had a great night with my sister and she has done some really cute images for her blog that I will strive to get sorted for the weekend, she has even made up some little freebies to pop on her blog from time to time which I love. I got my mothers day card for my mil to give to her mil in australia finished up and I am going to play at a friend's house from the cricut mb tonight!!!

she lives just down the road from me and I am really looking forward to it.

Ok so for the mothers day card I used my wild card crat on the doily card setting ( i lurve the doily card!)

I cut it from some butterfly cardstock that I had in my stash and then I cut a circle for the front from my co-ordinations card in yellow and popped it through my cuttlebug with my divine swirls embossing folder. The sentiments are computer generated and I mounted the sticker on a bit of acetate and then foam dotted it to pop it out a little.

I added some inking around the edge and then a bit f bling with some tiny yellow gems. I tied a little yellow organza ribbon around the top to finish it off.

I made a little circle from some flowery paper (again from my stash...its amazing what i find in there!!) and did a bit of doodling aroud the edge of it.

My first Tilda stampn cards!!!

Hello everyone!!!

I have been MIA for a couple of days on my blog as I have been soooo busy!! I have been making a couple of cards for the craft shop that I love for a charoty card make they are doing at the weekend, I can't go as scott and I have made plans to go walking with Mo. I still have a couple to finish up and a 60th birthday to finish but thought I had better post something here!!! (poor neglected little blog!!!)

I love,love,love these Tilda stamps I have bought and am eally getting addicted to them!!!!

I used some card bases I have had in my stash from my cross stitching mags, stamped and coloured my Tilda's and then popped them on so that they were 'sitting' on the cutout part of the card. I think the one with the buterfly and ladybird on is my favourite. I glazed the ladybird and the butterflyand stuck her hands and feet down but foam dotted the rest of her out,then added a bit of stickle bling to her bow and top and the pink flowers on the base, behind her I stamped some little flowers and chalked them pink, the foam dotting behind her is hard to see in the picture but it is a great effect as she looks a bit more real, soooo cute!!!

Trying new things!!!!!!

Wow!!! I have had a busy weekend trying new crafting techniques!!!!

On friday night I decided I would take the plunge and attempt a bit of a digital scrapbooking challenge from Diane (aka capdia!!) over on the fantastic new mb I have joined, heres the link to the new mb, it really is a great, friendly place to visit, make sure you mention me if you join!!lol!!! The sheep May calendar page was my try for this challenge!!! I used my hallmark card studio deluxe to make it for my mum who loves sheep!! I think its cute!!

Then on saturday morning I wombled off to my class to learn how to emboss stamps, and oh boy did I have fun, it was brilliant. I have the most amazing lady who teaches the class, she is so nice and funny and it makes the learning so much more enjoyable when you have someone like Ali teaching you.

The cards I made at class are in the second picture!!

Then as an extra, Ali gets out this brayer thing ( * at this point Lou thinks, omg, what the heck is that and what have I gotten myself into!!*) but OMG, this thing was amazing!!!

Ali had used some glossy card and made a card by using the bouncing brayer technique, it was absolutely stunning. My effort is the 3rd card!!! nowhere near as good as Ali's, (I just used the -rolling it and hope I am doing it right and not looking too stupid -tecnique!!!!)

I stamped the love doves (!!! don't know what the stamp is called!!) with a versamark watermark stamp pad and then rolled the rainbow ink over the image with the brayer, ooooh this is just so much fun, if you haven't tried it you really need to!!!!

I had filled up my loyalty card so ( and heres a warning to anyone who ventures into alicraft in lincoln...watch out for that Ali lady- she is a Level 1 enabler!!!! romfl!!!) with my free £15 I bought myself a brayer .....

( at this point I would love to blame Ali and Iain and say that they held me down and forced me to buy it!!! ....unfortunately I actually have to admit ...I am weak!!! and cannot resist the powers of enablers!!!! romfl!!!!)

Today is it a gorgeous sunny day again and me and mo are having a pyjama morning!!!!

So far this morning I have made some 'football club club' cards for my 9 year old son who wants to make up a club and have started colouring in some of my tilda stamps!!

Helllooo everybody!!!!!

I have had such a great day today!!!

Last night I made my big sister, Sam, a blog. She does the most amazing drawings and with me getting into image stamps I decided it was time to give her a push in the right direction!!!

My sister is amazing, we have lots of fun and giggles together and she does the cutest pictures (there are loads more to come and they are great as I have had a sneaky peek!!!!) She always worries that her pictures are not good enough but I think they are fantastic ( I realise I am ever so slightly biased but I really do think she has a very special talent).

These are some of my cards that I have used her very first download collection on. This particular set is comes coloured ( as it was made originally for me and I am colouring challenged!!!) and Sam is currently working on some black and white ones.

My Daisy May/uk crafters thread challenge!!!

Hello!!!

Well it has been another gorgeous sunny day here today and I have had a great day playing in the garden with the little people at work, I love to see the sunshine. Mo and I had a lovely cool bath and snuggle up when we came home as he was so tired from being outside most of the day!!!!

So this is my card for the Uk crafters thread on the cricut mb, this weeks challenge was to use one of the cute Daisy May image downloads, here is a link to Daisy May if you want to pop in.

The challenge on Daisy May was to use glitter so I popped after I had coloured her in I put glitter on the dress and the bird in the tree.

I used my wildcards cart for the card base and inked the edges, I cuttlebugged the circle mat with divine swirls and inked it with blue and green, then I popped a bit of adhesive ribbon across the middle. I made a little organza ribbon bow at the top of the card.

I put the bird on the branch on my card so that the bird was stuck down and the branch below it I popped on some foam squares to make it stand out a bit. I also mounted the girl on foam dots to make her stand out a little bit.

I popped some tiny gems on the bows of her dress and one on her bag.

I put some glaze on the bord, the leaves and the dress to help them to stand out a little.

I really struggled to get a nice picture of this card so I hope you can see from this picture the lovely glittery bling!!!!

Woo-hoo!!! stamped my first magnlia stamp!! meet 'tingla'!!

AWWWWWWW!!!!!! how cute is tingla!!!!

I finally felt I had practised enough to use my little tingla in the bath!!! I luuuurvve her!!!

I am still getting used to the colouring my stamp in thing but am getting better. This little tingla is the first one I have ever done and I did her quick on a bit of scrap paper!! Coloured her with my whispers pens and used staz-on tp stamp her. Think she would look fab on a bathtime layout!!!

I have stamped a few more and am having a bit of a crafty night tonight with my big sister so I will jazz it up a bit with 3d glaze and a bit of stickles on the bubbles and make it into something to post tommorrow!!!! Got to get ready for work now!! Thanks for popping in xxxxx

Have a purfect birthday!!!

Hello!!!
Well I have had a lovely day today, the weather has been lovely so I spent a long time with the little people at work outside in the garden, I got brought some beautiful flowers and delicious chocolate crispy cakes from one of my little men who left recently :( , I managed to get dh free tickets to the european open golf in may and my big sister had a fab idea that we should have a night together every week so we are starting that on thursday,its funny, you think you have lots of time to do things and then time just flies away so setting a definate night together has cheered me up a lot. We live quite close together and have employed our dh's to be our taxi firm, one to drop off at my house (my sister's dh)and one to return big sis home (my dh)!!!! so altogether a fab day!!
Thie card is another one I made last night with my forbes & friends stamps. It is for a student at work whose birthday was today.When I made my challenge card I used my photo wizard to print out my huge funky love papers, that way I can make them mat size and still keep all the lovely features of the paper,if I do it this way I can leave a little border of the colour of card I print itout on and it makes matting easier!! I used cream card for this one and had 4 print out on an A4 sheet of paper.
I stamped my cat,coloured it and glazed it.Then stamped the sentiment in a pink on a circle and stamped the fish from the set in black(used my fiskars squeeze punch for the circle)to match the colours of the card and ribbon. Then I inked the egdes of the card and it was done!! this card was real quick as I had all the scraps from my challenge card left to use!!! all I really had to do was the cat!!

Uk crafters thread wedding challenge card!

Hello everyone!!!!

Well, what a gorgeous day I have had today. We went out early to Rufford Park ( which is just a big, lovely old house and ruins and nature reserve with lots of woodland to play in and a little play village with tunnels and bits for little mo to explore) It was really quiet when we got there so we wombled around the lake and woods first,dh took lots of piccies with his camera and me and mo just enjoyed everything, Zak ( my furbaby) had a whale of a time, soooo many sniffs to be had there!!! It turned out to be beautiful and sunny and I just had a lovely time, I didn't even mind missing Extreme makeover day with Ty !! so itmust of been good!! It was just so nice to have some real time with Little mo with no distractions, real quality time, perfect. It is days like today that help me to remember how blessed I am to have such an amazing husband and children.

So here is my card for the Ukcrafters thread on the cricut mb, nicki set us a challenge to make a wedding card. I have ha the solutions wedding cart since it came out but to be honest I hadn't really used itso this was the perfect opportunity to get it out!!! I cut the rings, doves and glasses at 1" in both shadow and regular cut, inked te edges ith a brown whispers pen(great for fiddly little places wher no kind of inkpad or cats eye will venture!!! and popped a bit of stickles on them to give them some wedding bling!!!!

The background paper is totally gorgeous, it is from 'Huge Funky Love' from http://www.funkyhand.com/ ( anice is having a sale until 10pm tonight so go quickly!! 15% off!!)

I popped some brown ribbon with a bit of pink rik-rak ribbon on top of it and then attached my cuts to it with foam squares. There is a dark brown mat underneath the background paper that I swiss dot embossed with my cuttlebug and chalked the top with cream but then I covered it all up with the cool funkyhand paper!!!!

The sentiment I did on my computer for both the outside and inside of the card, printed in brown to co-ordinate with the papers.I stickled the edges of the sentiment mats to make them look pretty and then popped some foam sqaures on them too. I inked the edges of the card in a pinky colour and hey presto!! its done!!!

I am going to make a quick card for one of our students at work whose birthday is tommorow, I am feeling the need for my forbes and friends woodware stamps again!! and I have a card to do for my dh's mum for her friends birthday so busy,busy,busy!!!!!
