My little edwin tag card!

This is the other card I made at crciut club yesterday, I am still having fun with the tag from the plantin schoolbook cart and my lovely friend denise gave me this bit of paper left over from her project and lent me a yummy punch ( i am not sure what it was but it was so cool) and my card just came together!!!

I coloured edwin up with my promarkers and embossed his litle face and arms then ripped a bit of the scrap paper and popped it on his tag and sat edwin on the top of it!!! lots of chalking around the edges ( you know i just have to chalk!!!) and then popped edwins tag on top of the shadow sized tag. Then that went on top of the paper and punched strip.

The buttons were from my stash and the string is some crochet cotton I bought last week because i needed some natural looking string!!!!
So easy but really,really cute!!!!
thank you for popping in on me xxxxx

BBTB2 challenge.

Hello peeps!!!!
I have crawled out from beneath the pile of books and paper and other uni work stresses to post my little card for the challenge over on BBTB2.
The prize this time is a gift certificate for magnolia stamps ( oooohhhhh my fav!!!) so out came a cute little tilda sent to me in a swap a while ago.
I made this card as a thank you for a very special friend who took a lot of time and effort to set up a little cricut group for us bug lovers in our little town of Lincoln . It was the first one today and I think they were 12 of us there. It was so much fun and I had the best day. Lots of laughs and giggles and exploration of carts ( Denise found a yummy leave background I will have to try soon on wild card).

Fi loves pink so I had to pop some pink in there and wanted her to match the colouring of the rose.
The cricut cut is all off the doily card button on the wild card cart. I used the circle left from the frame and embossed it to use as a background.
I used my promarkers to colour tilda and embossed just her face and hands so they were 3Dand Fi 's (the special friend!!) chalks to colour up the bits. I used the friend embossing folder for the circle ( also Fi's!!!) and I used another special friends (thankyou denise xx) martha stewart punch for the inside and popped the phrase o top of it with some more silicone!
The funniest thing is, despite me knowing it was going to be a cricut day, I got in my normal what to take flap and didn't take my cricut so had to borrow Fi's cricut too!!I popped up the frame, rose and tilda with some silicone, I love the way they stand out a little.
Right, I must get back to my uni work now, I am struggling with this assignment but hoping to get it finshed soon, if you don't see me again by monday please come and rescue me from under the pile of screwed up paper, I will be the small person ,rocking to and fro biting her nails!!!!! romfl!!!!!
Thankyou for popping in on me!

Get Funky’s April Challenge Entry!!

IMG_3346

OOOOOh I love my new retro wordbook download from Funky Hand. It was my easter present to myself ( the easter bunny made me do it!!) and here is my entry for the Get funky challenge this month. There is an ‘April Showers’ theme and on our UK crafters thread we are using the tag1 cut from plantin schoolbook.

Both of these were fantastic for the tutorial I have been playing with from my yummy new magnolia ink mag this month. Its a gift boxy card thing and I love it. I have made 2 this afternoon but only finished this one! I am sooo chuffed with it!!!

I used the cute watering can digi stamp from Dreams come true on the front. The water is blue, glittery and glazed but didn’t show up too well in the photo, grrrrrrr!!!!!!

Here’s some more piccies……..

IMG_3349

This is the inside of the card. I used the tag cut for the seed holders and the little verse and another digi stamp from ‘Dreams come true’

IMG_3351

I cut a few flowers out of a scrap of paper I had and popped them out a bit with silicone glue.

IMG_3350

Here’s the seed tag pocket!! The seed tags have little pockets on them in patterned paper that I sealed and popped out a little with silicone glue to stop the seeds falling out of the bottom!! I embossed the names on the scalloped ovals to make them 3d and they look gorgeous all puffed out.

The little sticks to show where the seeds are planted in the garden are coffee stirrers from Mcd’s!!!!! I printed the names of the seeds out and stuck them onto the sticks and then glazed over the top to make them waterproof!!!

IMG_3355

And here’s my little Mo watching the “funky lady” ( as he calls her!!) on create and craft TV!!!!! He is so cute, he stops playing whenever she is on an watches so quietly I just had to take a piccy last time!!!!

Right, off for a cuppa now, thank you for popping in on me!!!

Ali-craft blog's first challenge- sarah kay.

I made this super cute little card for the new challenge over on my friend andrea's blog. I couldn't believe it when she andrea asked me to be on her DT!!!!

This months challenge is sarah kay and the prize is a sarah kay stamp, It rus until 8th may so get your sarah kays out and join in with the fun!! also as a special treat you can get 10% off a sarah kay stamp at alicraft so pop over to andrea's blog to get the code for the discount!!!

The card is for the little girl who i used to nanny for for her 8th birthday, she loves dogs so "fanny's cuddle" from sarah kay was just perfect. I coloured her with my promarkers and cut her with a nice scalloped oval nestie.I made the flowers with some peel offs in paper matching the bottom patterned paper and embossed with a tooly thingy!!!, ( i learnt how to do that at ali's craft club a couple of months ago ad am quite hooked!!!!) The paper is from my minds eye.
I found a nice big goldy organza ribbon left from my jane asher christmas cake kit ( thank you jane asher!!!) and made a bow. A few adhesive pearls and blingy centres for the flowers and she was done!!!!
I am now officially on a weeks holiday from work, I am so excited I can spend some time with the mo-ster. We have no real plans other than he is desperate to have one of his best friends to come to play so it will be nice to just veg and womble together!!!! I am at craft club tomorrow so I can't wait to catch up with the girls and Iian ( actually we have 2 men at our craft group which I think is super)
I treated myself to an ATG on tuesday night and it arrived yesterday, oooh its quite cool!!! I have been sticking everything!!! mo has his eyes on it though so am thinking a rather high storing place for it will be best!!!
lol!! i have just noticed the diaper cake in the background of my piccy!!!!!
The boys have gone with daddy to get us fish and chips for tea, yummo!!! so i must go and get the plates out!!!
Big hugs

Limited edition cuttlebug girls digi, new DT and my new cuttlebug storage folder!!

Oh what an exciting weekend I have had!!! We finally decided on our new DT over on Lily-boo's boutique, please go and check them out, I even worked out how to pop a page on with tabs on our home page !!!! I just need to add piccies and blurbles abot everyone!! Its so exciting!

Here is the newest addition to the boo digi family!! It is our cuttlebug girls digi.I got Sam to design this as a special thank you to the cuttlebugspot DT team when we sponsored them and now they all have theirs it is up on the boutique for a limited time only!! There is a limited amount of 250 to be sold and it is just such a cutie. I have used mine to cheer up my cuttlebug embossing folders wallet. It is just an A5 plastic paged wallet from staples so I coloured my digi and mounted on some yummy kanban cardstock with a bit of ribbon and typed out the words on my computer. Then I cut them out with my stampin up oval punches and slipped it into the window, I love it!!!!

Mo is feeling much better and started eating a bit again yesterday when Lily and Jake came to play, he is a lovely cute pinky colour today and much more his normal chirpy self.
Got to get ready for work now :( , I feel a little off it this morning so I hope I am not coming down with mo's sickness bug!!!

Have a super day everyone xxxxxx

omg!!! this stamp is just too cute!!!

Whilst practising my 'opening of the purse manouver' at the NEC, I bought this gorgeous little 'football crazy' stamp from the lili of the valley stand, he reminded me so much of mo I couldn't leave him behind.
I have to tell you this is the most gorgeous ever little stamp!!! This is the first card I have made with him and I can see me making loads more!! and believe it or ot, this was its first ever inking so I am super pleased at how fabulous he came out.
Mo, (who is now sitting up and asking for another crackerbread after looking on the lili of the valley website!!) already has his eye on another, he said

" that cute little guy on the bike mummy, thats what I need next....."

He is such a little trooper. He hasn't been sick since around 1:45pm and said he felt much better after a bath but he is flagging a little now and looking a bit grey with tiredness!!!
Right, must scoot!!!!!

lily-boo too april challenge!!

We are full of the joys of sprig over on LB2 challenge blog today!!! this month's challenge is going to be a colour challenge and the colours are Spring colours yellow, pale green and blossom. As long as your card/project has these colours you can enter. Of course we would love you to use a Lily-Boo image as we always love new inspiration but it's not mandatory. As always the winner will get to choose 2 Lily-Boo downloads as a prize.
So here's my little bunny rabbit card, using the super cute bunny from the easter set over on Lily-boo's boutique.
I used oe of my yummy new scallop cards from craftwork cards for the base and opened up my ' stroke it once a year nannas nursery stack from dcwv!!!! a bit of promarker-ing and he was done!!!!
the sentiment i did on my computer ad cut it out with my stampin up oval punches ( love them!!).
I am sooooo sleepy as poor little mo has been up all night with a sickness bug, he started at 11:30pm and is not a happy chappy this morning as he will be missing his school class photograph today.
Right, i must get ready as daddy is coming home to have mo for a couple of hours while i go to work then its back to mummy nurse duty.
Have a great day everyone xxxxx

mini tilda's and cmb challenge!!

Hello peeps!!!!

Well , (despite terrible nerves the night before and scott telling me I had to go) I had the best time ever at the NEC on saturday. I was super lucky as I was able to meet up with my lovely friends I met on the cricut mb. I met enfys, Kat and Nicki. We had a lovely time putting the world to ights over cookies and coffee and even managed to pull ourselves a stormtrooper!!!!!!!! lol!!!!!

There was sooooo much at the show!! I bought myself quite a few goodies, incuding some super sweet mini tilda's, I am in love with these!!!
Here is a cute 4x4 card I made with one of them. A bit of cuttlebug birds and swirls, inking and my fav stampin up ovals set and it was done!!!
The second card I made whilst having a creating with my sarah kay stamps card night. I have been making some cute cards for a venture my good friend andrea is going to do. I had a challenge card to do using the tall border, shift, 7, on the storybook cart ( i wish i could say the fab coding was me but it was actually down to our challenge mistress kerry!!! lol!!!) This sarah kay is 'the joy of giving' and i love her to bits, who else could do christmas in such cool summery clothing?!The light is so dull and grey here this morning that my gorgeous crafty notions spray is not showing up at all, grrrrrr. The cardstock is from my outing to kaban cards open day and the merry christmas sentiment is from one of andrea's lovely little bug stamp sets. The little golden snowflake is there for a special friend eileen who sadly passed away in december last year, I put a snowflkae somewhere on all my christmas cards now in her memory, she was such a lovely lady and very, very talented.
Right I must get ready for work now!!!!
Thank you for popping in,
hugs

Remembering bobby xx

Hello peeps!!
I am sorry I have been a bit of a bad blogger this week, I have been super busy with uni work, work and family and blogging took a back seat I am afraid!!!

So here is my latest bit of creating!!! The challenge on the UK crafters thread was to use the daisy from the walk in my garden cart. When I looked at it I chose the card function but decided to do it as a scrapbook page.
My gorgeous furry friend is my darling bobby. He was my fur baby charge when I was a nanny and kept me company for 10 years whilst I was at work. I loved him so much and was devastated when he passed away in december last year.

He adored being out in the garden and used to spend hours chasing and barking at the vapour trails that the planes left behind ( thats many happy hours of barking and chasing I tell you as we were right in the flight path for RAF waddington!!!!!) hench the cloudy effect 'bobby' coming 0ut of the plane!!! I used my white woodware fluffy stuff to do his cloudy name!!! here is a close up of his piccy. He was gorgeous.

I have had such a nice day today. Ryan ran his little mile this morning and loved it and even managed to get to play his football match afterwards. Mo was finally brave enough to get back on his bike after his bad fall off it last year and even enjoyed going up the little ramp that daddy had made for ryan to test out the new bmx we got him for his birthday.

thank you for popping in!!
hugs xx

Happy Mothers Day everyone!

Good Morning peeps!!

well I have been spoilt this morning. Scott got up with Mo and I got to stay in bed until 7am and then I got some gorgeous cards from my little boys, a new demenco willow tree ornament called 'the promise' .

We are just getting ready to go for a walk to clumber park. I love clumber park and I am really looking forward to just pootling around the lake and playing with Mo.
This LO is made with my favourite picture of me and mo.
Pictures of me are quite hard to come by as I really don't like having my photo taken!! Friends and family are wise to this now and they tend to snap away at me while I am not looking, but this one I actually sat down for. It was taked at norfolk lavenedar in the little garden last year. We are going to go back this year and take the same photo again to see how much the willow has grown on the little house we are sat in front of.

I made it with our challenge on the UK crafters thread on the CMB in mind. Our challenge mistress Kerry (....yep, still makes her sound like a woman dressed in black skin tight leathers, with lots of studs and high heeled black patent boots brandishing a whip doesn't it!!!!!) chose the tree cut on page 72 of the wild card cart and buttons for this time.
I love these challenges as I too often forget the litle gems my cricut carts have tucked away on them and doing these little challenges reminds me just how cool my cricut really is!!!

The letters and hearts are from all mixed up and glazed, i love how thye came out. The wild card tree I cut twice and ran the heart cardstock through my cuttlebug to get the pop out hearts and the brown layer of tree through my cuttlebug with my script folder for the bark of the tree trunk. I used a little heart button on the tree and 3 little flower head shaped buttons on the plantin schoolbook grass. The string around the photo and he bottom of the page is just garden twine!! but it looks lovely with the willow in the photo.

Right off for a walk now. Have a super mothers day everyone in the UK!!
Hugs
Lou xxxxxxxx
