Tiddly Inks challenge 21- Our Pets.

Morning everybody!!

Oh I hope you had have better weather than me today!! it is cold, damp and very windy!! but luckily I have my guest DT card for Tiddly Inks challenge blog to post today so that's brightened up my day!!
Its challenge 21 already!!! so here's the details for the challenge.....

We have a very fun challenge if you happen to be a pet lover because this week our challenge is all about our pets. :)
Grab your favorite Tiddly Inks pet or animal image (you can find 3 animal freebies here) and join in.
You have until next Monday at 10 PM CST to complete and link your creation and link it using the little inlinkz gadget on the challenge blog.

I loved making this card because I had a small little helper with it!!! I got Mo to pick which animal I should use and he chose Father bumble bear. He said "its just like him and daddy and could we make daddy's birthday card?"
So we set to work. I used my fav manly backing papers from funkyhand for this one too ( the pack is slowly disappearing now :( time to buy some more!! lol!!!) and they matched the colouring on my bears an absolute treat.
I used a lovely heart sentiment stamp to make a charm with my shrinkies ( yup, led astray by Lou and Chris again!!!! love ya girlies xxx).
Then, (and this is my absolute favourite bit on this card!!!) I gave Mo my black sakura glaze pen and asked him to write Daddy somewhere on the card. He chose where to write it all be himself and I am super proud of where he wrote it. He wrote it on the heart, but not just straight! He wrote it so carefully and followed the shape of the heart adding some little kisses!! I think he is definitely picking up the crafty genes a treat!!! and it will make a super special card for Daddy's birthday in november.

This creation used....
Father Bumble Bear from Tiddly Inks.
Funky Fellas paper pack from Funkyhand.
Shrinkies.
Baby bear hugs heart stamp from my stash ( my mum bought me this one at reevsby show so I am sorry I don't know who made it :( )
Martha Stewart doily hearts punch.
Ribbon from my stash.
Promarker- sandstone and pastel pink.
Heart cut on my cricut with george cart.

Well I must pootle off now and get ready for the day!
Thank you so much for popping in on me and thank you so much everybody for your lovely comments, they always brighten up my day xxxx

Christmas princess card!

Morning peeps!!
Just a quicky post this morning as Mo and I are just getting ready for school/work!!!
Here is my little christmas card I made at cricut club on saturday.
I designed this card in cricut design studio over 3 1/2 years ago now but I still love using it! and on saturday I just had to use it to put my gorgeous christmas princess from Tiddly Inks.
I coloured her up with my promarkers, berry red ,of course, and a few copic at you spica red in there too for bling!! and a good old christmassy feel!! and her hair though it doesn't show up is really sweet as it is grey, white and has a few splashes of copic at you spica silver in there too.
I cuttlebugged the letters for 'snow' , inked them with a bit of silver and popped them out with a bit of silicone.
I used a bit of silver mirri board and cuttlebugged it with one of the new bigger cuttlebug folders that Fi had in her box....can't remember what it was called though!!!
I also tied a little bit of red satin ribbon onto the side and it was done.
This creation used....
White linen cardstock.
silver mirri board.
swiss dots embossing folder.
snowflake embossing folder ( can't remember what it was called)
silver ink pad.
red satin ribbon.
promarkers- berry red for the dress, hat. vanilla and pastel pink for the skin. cool grey 1 and 2 for the hair
copic at you spica glitter pens silver and red for the hair and dress.
Right must dash!!!

A little feel better soon LOTV!

Morning peeps!!!
I had a super day yesterday. First it was a day at cricut club which is just always so much fun, I made 2 cards which I will post later in the week. Then onto babysitting for my 2 fav little people in the evening ( though I must admit they are not quite so little anymore!!!!)
I made this little card for my friend's niece who had a small battle with a trampoline, she slipped under the net to get out and took a tumble on the way and came off slightly worse for wear bless her. I don't know her too well as I have only seen her a little handful of times but she is one of the cutest little girls and I felt so sad that she had hurt herself. Her aunty ( my friend) keeps us updated and summer is now home after a yukky couple of days and an op to wire her little bones in her arm up to heal.

I thought that my cute little LOTV nurse stamp would be a good one too use and teamed it up with an easel fold, martha punch and of course some gingham funkyhand paper ( I love gingham!!!!) I made the sentiment on my computer in one of my favourite fonts. I used the little hearts that punch out to decorate the white cardstock under the punched edge.
We also have a new arrival in the daubney household, rather a surprise though!! I just happened to be getting the cucumber ready for our african snail, Speedy Chuggington. ( speedy from ryan, chuggington from Mo) and I saw this little lump on his (....her?!) foot near the shell. On closer looking ( after thinking omg? what is that? and can you take a snail to the vet?...) I realised it was a teeny tiny baby snail!!!! awwwwwww!!! Then when I put the cucumber in it slid down the foot of chuggington and got onto the cucumber!!!
Anyway, I called Mo ( who was engrossed in lego making...again!!!) and told him to look what was in the tank. Well, you have never seen such a happy little boy!!! So I said to him " what do you think we should call the baby snail Mo?" he replied
" We have to call him whoopsie mummy because we didn't know he was coming"
Well, scott and I had to laugh!!!! ( lou had visions of Mo being born and being called whoopsie as we didn't know he was coming either!!!!! lol!!!!)
So here is little whoopsie you can just about see him on the edge of the cucumber!!!

(...and yes, I am frantically searching the tank hoping there are no more after being told by my brother that they have squillions of babies!!!)Right I am off for a cuppa, to get the washing machine on and get caught up with ironing. We were going to womble to the shop but Mo has requested a pj morning so that will have to wait a while!!!!

My card used:

white linen cardstock.

Gingham paper from my funkyhand Colour me Happy papercraft factory.

LOTV Little nurse stamp.

Martha stewart Doily hearts punch.

SU oval punch and scalloped oval punch.

Computer genrated sentiments with Kristen ITC font.

Thankyou for popping in!!!

Too cute to miss!! Shirt and tie card.

Morning peeps!!
It was my day off yesterday and in between cleaning up and mopping floors ( that didn't want to dry because for once there was no wind!!!) I had time to make something!!!
This little card came about because I just happened to turn C&C on for 2 minutes and the lady on there was making this card.

I was cleaning at the same time so missed some of the folds so I turned to trusty old google who in turn took me to the amazing Dawn's blog ( I should of known to look there first!!!) Check out the linky for Dawn's fab video on how to make your own.
The only thing I forgot to do now I see the picture on my blog is to make sure I had turned my awesome funkyhand patterned paper up the right way!!!!!
I love the way it opens up so you can write your message inside....

I added a little pocket and buttons to mine too.
Men's cards are so tricky to make so I want to thank Dawn for this fabby tutorial, I am definitely going to be making a lot more of these!!

And here is my gorgeous little Mo!! ( yup, with his dylan dog, that dog still goes everywhere with him!!!) This picture was taken in between the tear of monday morning but I think it came out quite well. He has had 3 days back at school now and is much happier. He loves his new teacher and is coming home happy with no tears in a morning so that is amazing!

This card used....

Dawn's fabby tutorial.

salt and pepper download from funkyhand.

London fog memento ink for edges ( still not got myself a new charcoal chalk pad!!!)

Funky faux brads ( linky for my tutorial!!)

Right of to get ready for work!!!!

" I think I might be ok today but I am going to miss you so much mummy, can you put a hug in my pocket for me so I can have a squeeze of you if I need one"
well, then he was ok but I was feeling teary because of what he had said!!!!

Using up a few scraps!

Good afternoon everyone!!!!

Does anyone else have a totally over flowing box of scrap bits of paper/card in their craft space? !! I definitely do and it grows everytime I tidy away (... generally 2 mins before my big sis or Fi are due to arrive and I want them to think my crafty garage is tidy!!!! lol!)
I was sorting through mine yesterday to donate a few bits to my sister sam , here's her blog ,who has just started making cards with her own digi's. She is doing fabulously and asked if I had a few spare bits so I searched through and found her some but also found myself a few too!!!!

Then this morning my lovely friend carol inspired me 100% by showing me a card she had made ( she made a little cricut file for it too but I haven't swept the dust off my cricut to use it yet!!!) so I used the picture she showed me and followed it like a sketch. Thank you carol xxxxxx

I wanted to make a quick hello card and this is what came out of it!! awwwww!!!
Using my gorgeous scraps of funkyhand paper from a halloween card I made last year I made the card base, bit of cuttlebugging for my scalloped ovals and of course a Tiddly Inks kitty!!!
I added a bit of red here and there to give it a splash of colour!! and a tiny tag saying 'hello'.

So that was my 'make of the day'!!!!
This afternoon Little Mo and I have been out to watch Ryan playing football, his team won 12-0 and Mo was very impressed by Ryan's 2 goals!! he kept shouting " thats my brother!!" to any poor bystander that looked his way!!! romfl!!!! the sun was shining beautifully but it was very windy so I have returned home feeling like an ice cube!!!
Its back to school for Mo tomorrow and he is not overly impressed at all, he has told me he "cant possibly go back to school until november" why november I couldn't tell you but he wants to come back to nursery and be with one of his old teachers, Karen, instead!! Bless him!! I have to be honest, I am nervous about going back to work too, it sees like such a long time since the start of the holidays and I will miss Mo dreadfully, oh the joys of parenting!!!
Oh well, I had better go cook lasagne and watch Wall-E ( ....for the zillionth time!!)

This creation used:

Hello everybody!!!!!
I hope you have all had a fabulous friday. I have!! We popped into town this morning whilst it was nice and quiet to fetch a magazine I needed. I was looking for a hot glue gun in the poundshop but couldn't find one :( so hubby took me to another shop which just happens to be near a craft shop....I drifted in there....found some yummy stamps at half price....they dropped into my shopping basket....along with some pretty flowers!!! lol!!!! so I up with £34 worth of stamps for £17!! yey!!!
I am very excited today as I am having a little guest visit as a Tiddly Inker!!!!! I feel like lots of my little dreams have come true recently!! I love my little Tiddly Inks digi's so you can imagine how awesome I felt when Christy asked me to come and play for a while!!!!! Mo loves them too and quite often pootles off with me on a tuesday morning to buy some ( Tiddly Tuesday is when new ones go into the shop and it causes great excitement in our house!!)
So my creation for today is using Fairy Fae. She is just beautiful and I have been experimenting with easel fold cards recently by popping a little box on them!!
This one is just tiddly at 4x4 inches.
Here is a close up of Fae with a bit of the bling on her wings showing!!! and here is a close up of the box........
Yup!!!! its full of jazzies!!! I love white chocolate and they are my favourites.Mo decided they looked like fairy twinkles this afternoon so I just had to pop them in the box for the piccy!!! ( ....there are not so many left now!!) I added a little twine to the box flap which is scalloped when you pull it out but I forgot to take a piccy of that, derrrr!!!!!
I had to add a couple of yummy paper flowers too to match Fae's bouquet.

Tiddly Inks challenge 19- say goodbye to summer!!

Hello peeps!!
This is my second post for today as I have actually managed to get my card done for the Tiddly Inks challenge, say goodbye to summer.
I had a little idea for it after bringing home a page from my bff's magazine throwing out pile yesterday but didn't have chance to start it until tonight when Mo had gone to bed and I am very impressed with myself for getting it finished!!!!! lol!!!!!
I had already coloured up my gorgeous gossmere with some autumny colours so all I needed to do was cut her out a little, she actually lost a bit of her fringey dangly bits due to scissors cutting them but I know Christy will fully undersand this small slip, hair can be quite tricky to trim....... lol!! and hugs for Christy!!!!!!!!
I made my little framey box card and I just had to use my awesome funky hand funky seasons cd, it has this gorgeous autumn sentiment paper on it. I printed out in the delicious orangey colour ( there are 2 more colour schemes to choose from too!!!!)
I stamped around the edges of my frame with a little leaf stamp and made myself a little shrinky button ( the shrinky button is all down to the lovely Chris who showed us how to do it at the demo on saturday!! I have made 6 since!!!lol!!!)
Then a little orangey chalking ad hey presto!!!
You would laugh at my big sis sam if you were here tonight, she has no internet at home and hasn't had any for 3 weeks now!! she has another week to go until she gets it back so I have introduced her to the world of scheduled posting!!!!!
This creation used:
Leaf stamp-Inkadinkado- halloween/harvest assortment.
white linen cardstock.
Promarkers- sandstone, pastel pink-dress. pastel biege-skin. buttercup,-hairat you spica gold- crown and spooky stick.
Orane chalk pad!!

Thank you for dropping by!!!!

Get Funky - Fabulous funky florals!!!

Morning everyone!!!!
I am so excited this morning because it is the first time I have made a challenge card for the Get Funky challenge blog being on the Funky hand DT!!!!!

Its Kathy's challenge this month and she set us the fabulous task of............
Fabulous Funky Floral Fantasy

The catch is that Kath wants to see lots of dimension in the way you use the flowers, so just a flower patterned paper, or a flat flowery image just won't do at all!!!!
When creating you flowery masterpieces, please remember your project will only be eligible for the prize if you use at least one Funky Hand product - Click HERE for a quick link to the Funky Hand, you will be spoilt for choice and if you were lucky enough to hit Anice's funky sale over last weekend its a perfect time to get exploring those cd's or downloads!!!!

So for my card I used the colour me happy cd. I wanted some flowers that would match the gorgeous funky flowery paper on the cd so I went for pleated flowers. They were so relaxing to make (especially after a little bit of help from my scorpal ,lol!!!). For the centres I made myself a couple of funky faux brads with a bit of scrap paper left over from the card base.

For the card base itself I printed straight onto my card blank with the flowery paper and then added the plain piece of linen looking paper to the bottom. I also made la little pleated paper ribbon to go across the centre of my card!
A quickly stamped sentiment and a few martha branches for leaves and the job was done!!!

The little pleated flowers are so much fun to make, I had a few more funky scraps left on my desk from a few other bits I had been making so I used some to make a funky little memo holder for my fridge!!!
....and here it is in action holding another one of my fav funkyhand cd's!!!!
Mo has been for his back to school haircut this morning. Please excuse the grimace on his face!! its a bit bright out there today and the sun got in his eyes!!! We went for 7:30am to daddy's hairdresser as he wanted his hair like daddy's!! He looks so cute!!!! he was most impressed when the man asked if he wanted gel on it and jumped at the chance!!!
I am off out into my craft room now to have a bit of a play while Mo is busy with his lego, its gorgeous here today so I have plomped him outside with his car mat on the decking and a bowl of water for putting his boats made out of lego in!! happy days!!!
Thank you for popping in and don't forget to pop over to get funky and take a peek at the dt's fabulous creations, they are all so pretty.

Hugs Lou xxx
