Tiddly Inks challenge 48- Mothers Day Flair!!

 Morning Peeps!!!

Its Tiddly Tuesday again which means time for a new challenge on the Tiddly inks challenge blog, and I hope you were all inspired from this weekends treasure hunt blog hop!! I know I was, I absolutely loved it and the Tiddly Inkers and their special guests made some totally awesome cards for you all to drool over!! The Tiddly Inks shop is tip top full of the gorgeous new images so don't forget to pop over and buy some in the sale!!!
I will be announcing my little winners prize of the awesome Me and You image tonight so please pop back in on me later!!
And so onto the Tiddly Inks new challenge for this week which is....

Create a card with a vintage mothers day theme!!

I have had a stash of gorgeous thin cardstock ever since I got my cricut, it seems to be never ending and I love it, I had some beautiful vintage ones in there so pulled one out for this challenge make. It has teeny roses all over the patterned piece and a weathered light brown on the other side, perfick!!!

I used another one of the yummy new images called You are on my mind. I thought she was just perfect standing their with her heart in her hands, awwwwwwww, and armed with my super cute Peek a Boo box template from Adela at AR Designs, I got busy!!
Isn't it just the cutest ever little box?! I cut it using my MTC software. I am going to pop a little bar of gardeners soap on there for my mum as she loves her gardening, especially now it is getting warmer and everything is pretty and beginning to flower, mo loves helping her to water everything with his little watering can!!!
The roses are also cut in MTC and the little swirls are from my BF fi's marianne's die (...which I have warned scott I will NEEEED!) and the little tag is made using stampin up tiny tag punch, love it!! and harrington font on my pooter.

I am entering this little boxy card in the cute and girly challenge blogs May challenge which is anything goes.
Please pop on over to see what the Tiddly Inkers have been creating for the challenge and have a fabulous Tiddly Tuesday!! hugs Lou xxx

Fi's cricut club swirl challenge!!

Morning peeps!!

I have had the most fabulous bank holiday weekend so far.
Thursday was an excellent day, full of fun royal wedding celebrations at work. Friday was a lovely day spent playing with Mo. Saturday was Fi's cricut club which I absolutely love and sunday was a fabulous day at twycross zoo with Mo and Scott. Mo loves the zoo so it is always gauranteed to be a magical day.

So onto my scrapbook page which you can see up there ^. Now it is no secret that I am an absolute learner when it comes to big 12x12 scrapbook pages!!!! and I have made myself a promise to do 1 12x12 scrapbook page a month this year.
Fi set us the challenge of using a swirl for our may challenge at club this month and I actually surprised myself with how quickly I thought of mine knowing I had a scrap page to get done!!!
I had taken this picture of my Nana to craft club with me. My Nana was an absolutely awesome lady and she died from cancer 13 years ago. She had amazing strength and courage and fought the disease for many years before leaving us. I loved her so very much and still struggle with missing her. It took me 13 years to be able to go into her and my grandad's bedroom  (which I did for the first time a few weeks ago when hoovering for my grandad!!).
Scott scanned ths picture for me a few months ago. Grandad and I had been pekking through some family photos and I thought this one of her when she was a little girl was beautiful.

I used the swirl square from the storybook cart and cut it at 10 3/4 ". I tucked Nana into some of the swirls.
The little butterflies are from storybook to and daft as it may sound they are there to symoblise her freedom from pain and innoncence as a child which she was in this picture. They have all got foam dots under them to pop them out a little from the page. The large corner one has some bling on it and the little ones have sakura clear star pen doodling on them but its hard to see!!!

My fabulous friend, Hev, gave me this gorgeous flower she had made using her new stampin up tim holtz cutting dies and isn't it just absolutely gorgeous?! they are all material and strokably yummy (...yup its about as close as I will ever get to stroking something Tim Holtz ;) .....) and I nestled my Nana title into the flower. She even stamped some yummy dots onto one of the layers too, I think it is awesome.

So thats me for today I think!!
I am going to treat myself to a womble to the garden centre today (.... when Scott has finished fixing the car...again....grrrrr) to get a little cupcake icing set for me and Mo to use when we are making fairy cakes. He really likes decorating them and is quite fabulous at it so I thought it would be a nice treat!! (...and my mum is desperate to try it out too!!!)

OOOh and don't forget you still have chance to hop with the Tiddly Inkers and our special guests for the chance to find some freebies and win some lush prizes and the sale is on too over on the Tiddly Inks shop so go get some bargains ready for the birthday celebrations blog hop on May 10th!! Just click on the piccy underneath to get started!!

So thank you so much for popping in on me!!

My little cupcake makin' boy!!!

I just had to share a mo story!! this one is too cute! tomorrow at school they are having a posh clothes and cupcake day to celebrate the royal wedding. I cooked a batch of chocolate fairy cakes for mo to decorate today when we got home. I asked him what he wanted to put on it and his said...
" a britain flag"

at which point i gulped and said

" are you sure you can do one with icing? you have to do it all by yourself?"
( i don't like helping him with his creating!! i like to see what he comes up with himself, especially for child centred things like school!...though I did make him a cute little box to take it in!! ..he wrote the tag!!)

Little mo replies...

" its easy mummy, its a plus sign with a kiss on it"

(at this point mummy does her normal watery eyes 'cos he is so darn cute! i wish i could see the world the way he does!! i dont think i will ever see the flag of great britain the same again!!!)

heres a piccy of my little man and his finished cupcake..

( yup, thats a big juicy bug bite under his left eye...he just tastes soooo good!!)

And heres the cute little box mummy made to pop it in! all Funky Hand papers from the Craft The Year Away cd.

Yes, I know, I know the cupcake is way cuter than the box and a teensy bit too big but when you ask a 6 year old which cupcake he wants to decorate you just know he isnt going to choose the runt of the 9 cupcakes I made which would of just popped in beautifully!!!

Anyway, I am off to indulge in masterchef and greys anatomy now so I will be back tomorrow!!

Huge hugs

Tiddly Tuesday- April showers bring may flowers!!

Image- Who Loves You from Tiddly Inks.
Papers- Craft The Year Away from Funky Hand.
Magnolia swirl stamp.

Morning peeps!!!

Wow..Tuesday already!! That must mean its time for Tiddly Tuesday again and a new challenge over on the Tiddly Inks challenge blog.

This week its a theme and the Tiddly Inkers want to see you rain inspired projects. I chose the sweet little owl in his tree called Who Loves You. I printed him out on some linen cardstock and had a chalk colouring day! it felt like ages since I had used my chalks and they go so nicely on the linen card stock.
I made some rain using my pastel blue promarker and then popped some glossy accents over the top to make it look wet!!!
Here's a little close up......

Awwww, he's so cute!! I am not sure its easy to see but my little owl is popped up on some silicone.

For my card base I printed straight onto my linen card using my Funky Hand Craft The Year Away cd. I love the colour on this one, its from the Come What May colourway.
My sentiment is actually some of the verse from one of my favourite Eric Clapton songs!!! I just typed it out on my computer and printed it onto one of my scraps of the linen cardstock and cut it into a square shape.

I chalked over the sentiment in some glittery blue chalk but its a squidge hard to see.

I am popping this is for the Allsorts Challenge blogs April Showers challenge.

Oh and super exciting!!! on saturday its the start of the Tiddly Inks Treasure Hunt!!!
You WILL NOT want to miss this fun and inspiring hop!!! Christy, the captian!!and artist at Tiddly Inks has cooked up some seriously adorable NEW images!!!  and well what's a treasure hunt without plenty BOOTY  to be grabbed??!!- surprises and prizes!!!! Wooohoooo! diamond wedding anniverary piccy!!

 Hello peeps!!!!

so here we all are at the diamond wedding annivesary of scott's nanna and grandad. It was the most amazing day and I loved every minute!!
I don't normally like having my picture taken at all but I am ok when my oldest and fabby friend Leah is clicking away.
I am the chick sat on the grass and scott is the gorgeous guy stood on the left in the blue checked shirt. Mo is next to me and Ryan is on the floor on the right hand side in the same clothes as Mo. They are so funny like that wanting to wear the same clothes but I am actually cherishing it at the moment as I bet it won't last much longer ( lou sobs into her cuppa!!!)

And here is a little piccy of  Little Mo taking a picture of Aunty Leah taking a picture of him!!! soooo cute!!!!
(...oooh yeah and thats me too!!!!)

There are too many totally awesome piccies for me to share in one post so I might share a few more later in the week, Leah is so darn clever!! Here is Leah's Redbubble site if you fancy a peek at some more of her piccies.

Off to snuggle on the settee for a bit now before I  get an early night! back to work tomorrow!!

Snuggles for easter!!

Rose Fence- from Lilyboo designs.
Tilda holding egg basket-from Sir Stampalot.
Happy Easter sentiment- from my BF Fi's stash!!

Morning peeps!!!!

Its me and my little buddy Tilda here to wish you all a very Happy Easter!!!!!

I have had a lovely morning so far with a little easter egg hunt for Little mo and Ryan and a bit of crafty time too!! I have made 8 paper easter baskets ( thank you Donna!!!) and this super cute little magnolia hanging for my kitchen.

I forgot to write down which promarkers I was using but definately remember sandstone and caramel for the fence!!! I love love love this Rose Fence. Partly because Tilda looks great with it but mostly because my fabulous big sister drew it!! you can get it HERE. ( its only 99p so a complete bargain!!) I resized it in my paint shop and  printed a few out on one A4 sheet ( I know I will need to use it again!! lol !!)

Well, I had better get myself dressed really as I am still sat here in a rather fetching pair of turqouise pj's with white spots on!!! sooooo laazeeeeee!!!

I hope you all have a wonderful day with lots of yummy choccies to eat!!! I am very lucky as Little mo doesn't really do easter eggs so he has 3 little kinder eggs with toys in and we all know that hollow eggies have less calories and when eaten with a hot cup of tea, all the calories melt away.........:)

Huge easter snuggles

Diamond wedding...diamond fold!!!

 Morning peeps!!!

I am so excited because today Scott's nana and grandad are celebrating 60 years of marriage!! wow 60 years of loving and caring and sharing your life with the person you love, that is just so amazingly special.

So naturally for the diamond wedding I decided I just had to do a diamond fold and use some yummy diamondy paper and bling too!!!

(...note to self.....yummy diamondy paper does not like having its photo taken and will look poop no matter what you try so when you get to 20 photos and it still doesn't look right.....GIVE UP!!!!!! romfl!!)

I decided to stick with a white and blingy colourscheme and added lots of teeny gems to the ribbon and a few more on the hearts. I cut the hearts,60 and initials using my george cart on my cricut. A bit of martha was most necessary so the fronds and doily lace just had to go on!!! :)

You can just about see the teeny fimo roses in the midst of all the fronds!! which would be fab as I am entering this in this weeks C.R.A.F.T. challenge which is Flowers.
So that's my creation of the morning!! There may be more later as it is crafty night with big sis tonight, she has some new images (peeky HERE if you want to see them, I need the rose fence for my tilda's to sit on!!....) for me to drool over and  I am sure there will be oooodles of giggling too!!! ( ...i think we giggle more than craft but hey that's what sisters are for isn't it?!!!!!)

Right, must go get dressed and sorted for the day!!! see you all later!!

huge hugs
