oooh a big Juicy Tag!!!

Papers and sentiment- Steam Funk from Funky Hand.

Morning everyone!!!

I have been sat at my pooter getting not a lot done since I dropped  Little Mo off at school this morning!! so I thought I would do something productive and share my big, juicy tag with you!!

I bought these huge tags last year from the pound shop ( well, I say huge... they are about 6" x 3.5" which is huge to me !!!) they kind of sat in the pile of mess on my craft room table until a couple of weeks ago when I made a christmassy one and thought to myself , hey I should do some more of these ....then I forgot!!! (..yup, I am that useless!!!) 

So when I found them again the other day I just had to use my yummy new Steam Funk papers, I love them so much because they have one of my fav colour combo's of all time, browns and creams! ( mmmmm cookies and ice cream....!!) and thus making them delicious to create with!! I also remembered that I have an awesome rolled roses file in my MTC that I hadn't used on a long time so I cut some out with my trusty cricut. 

While it was working hard cutting rolly roses I covered one of the big tags in a sheet of yumminess. If you look closely at the papers they have awesome little crafty words all over them!! I love it!!! I punched out some butterflies and leafy fronds and started off the glue gun on heating up (....not to self....making a cuppa and getting some dinner whilst forgetting the glue gun is heating up is not the best idea ever.....however it does leave a really hot toasty smell in your cold craft room which is quite warming........)

I layered up my little butterflies a bit with 3 layers so they looked all fluttery! they have crochet wool for antennae's to match the strings through the tag!!

The sentiment I inked around the edge and then screwed up (...and trod on it........just to make sure it was squooshed...) then I unrolled it and inked it again. It my favourite way to distress something.

Then it was just a case of splodging it all on the tag which was awesome fun and I love how it came out. Here's another piccy from a slightly different angle...

So I guess my big and juicy tag is me for today!!! I am popping off now to spend some time with the fur babies from my old nannying job!! I love them as much as the children and today they need a quick run out while their parents are at work and the children are at school so I get to have furry cuddles today!!

Tiddly Inks challenge 78- Colour challenge!

Morning Peeps!!

Yey!! its time for another Tiddly Inks challenge over on the challenge blog! and I am excited about this one because let me tell you when I heard it was a colour challenge I kinda hid my head!! but the colours were so easy to play with that I just fell in love right away!!! I got one of the gorgeous new Wryn's to help me out on this one, she is so cute I couldn't resist!! squeeeee!!!

So onto the colours......

All you need to do is have these colours prominent on your card so you can muddle some others in there too if you need to!!

I coloured my little Wryn up to match the colours, here's my promarkers list incase it helps anyone out!

Skin- blush, soft peach and peach.

Hair- apricot, ginger and burnt orange.

Dress- buttercup, tulip yellow and gold

Shoes- denim blue, china blue and midnight blue

Heart flowers- pear green and olive green

Plant pot- terracotta and henna

My little hearts I cut on my cricut and threaded some blue thread through and the little tags are from my SU teeny tags stamp set punched out with my jewellery tag punch. The scalloped border is my SU scallop punch. The faux stitching is my orange glaze pen and it look so pretty IRL as it is a little raised.

I have to say I loved making this card!  I even found some yummy paper that held a few of the colours for the challenge too!!

March calendar page and my Tiddly Inks blog hop winner!!

Morning Peeps!!

Its a very frosty but beautifully sunny day out there today and we even had to resort to Little Mo's big winter coat today as it was -2 as we left the house!!!! brrrrrrr!!!

I have my march calendar page to share with you today. Sitting ever so cute at the top of my calendar is one of Christy's gorgeous new releases, Somebunny Loves You Wryn isn't she just adorable??!!! I love her!!

I made my calendar page up in word again and added Wryn in .png format to the top of the calendar, I love doing it this way because then she looks like she is just sitting there so naturally. If you use the .jpg one it leaves a white space around her. 

I coloured her in and then masked her up to stamp on my heart chains stamp along the top and distress ink my egdes.

And now onto the exciting bit!

Firstly I have to thank each and every one of you for all your beautiful comments. I have never had so much love sent my way and I have to tell you I have read them all at least 20 times since friday/saturday so thank you so very much for making me feel this warm and happy inside, it means so much xxxxx

Love Letters...

Evening peeps!!

I have just popped in out of my crafty little garage to share this little cutie with you. She is another one of Krista's awesome new release's called Love Letters.

I managed to get her made at many different points today!!! he he he!! bit of colouring, play with mo, bit of die cutting, more playing with mo, stamp around the edge, watch a film with mo ( we watched zookeeper and it was lovely!!) cook tea, bath mo, snuggle mo to sleep ( i love love love it when he wants to be snuggled to sleep!!) quick hello with scott on my way out to crafty garage then finally finish her off!!!! but I have had the most awesome day!!

I used some of my My Minds Eye papers for this one and a bit of yummy pink raffia I bought before christmas.

I hope you all had super sundays too!! I am  going to pootle back out to my crafty garage now and carry on with my march calendar page, then I might go to bed!!! :)

Get Funky -January Blues....:)

Right onto my project for the January Blues challenge we are having this month!! A couple of months ago Anice shared a link with us on Smash books and ooooooh I wanted one so bad!!! so I just had to make a funky one!!

I bought a plain chipboard album and set to work making this........

Right then, cuppa and bottom into gear (.......ok, so its only tracksuit gear for plodding out to my crafty garage!!!) Mo wants to have a play on Nick Jnr so I can sit and craft next to him!!!

Elphie....

Its me again!!!! he he he!! 3 posts in one day?????!!!! its just been such an amazingly exciting day for me with 2 hops and release days from the DT's I am on!!!

Now, I don't mean to enable you all....but....quick get your purses and run over to Krista's Saturated Canary Digi's shop as the new digi's are popping up in the shop as I type!!!!

This little super cutie is Elphie and I am in love with her!!! she's just devine isn't she!! its those cute little 'ooops did I do that ?' eyes that I fell in love with!! and I decided she totally needed bluey green sparkley hair too, I don't know why but she just called out for it!!

Here's a little list of my promarkers just incase you feel the need for bluey green sparkley hair too....:)

Hair- Pastel green and soft green with some highlights of Turquoise At you copic spica in.

Skin- blush, soft peach and peach

Top- pastel beige, khaki

skirt & tights- sandstone, cocoa and burnt sienna

broom- vanilla, sandstone and cocoa

eyes- soft green.

The stamp around the edges of her nestie circle is from my SU tiny tags stamp set, I really like this stamp. It has kind of sat neglected in the cd case since I got it but I think it is going to get some useage over the next few days!!!! :)

Right, must womble off as i have desk full of cute little SC's screaming "colour me!!"

Morning peeps!!

Now I have had the most awesome week and I have some super exciting news to share with you all. By now you must of all gathered that I LOVE Krista Smith's images. I got the most exciting email early this week from Krista Smith of Saturated Canary digi's (....I actually had to read it twice, rub my eyes then read it a whole tonne more before I realised it was actually real and for me!!!!!!) and I am now on the Saturated Canary design team!!!! 

OMGOODNESSSSSS!! me a little canary??!! So I am so excited, humbled and completely honoured all in one!! Thank you Krista and huge happy birthday hugs to you too hun xxxxxxxx 

For my card today I used one of the awesome new digi's Krista has gong in the shop over the weekend, isn't he gorgeous?!! and anyone who has a star wars obsessed family like I do totally needs this digi!! Force also has a gorgeous little lady friend too so if you are feeling the love force you will need to get them both to make an awesome valentine card for your other half (...Lou hopes scott isn't reading this or he may just grab the jist of what his valentines card is this year......:)

I coloured my cute little guy up in promarkers and then teamed him up with my 'just chillin' we r memory makers papers.His little light saber actually sparkles but man I could not get a good piccy of that, 8 piccies later and this was the best I could do....

You can just about make out the sparkle.....lol!!!!

I truly feel blessed this week, I have the best balance at work I have had in a very long time, an awesome and supportive husband,son and stepson and great friends,3 awesome DT's . Can life really be any better than that?!

I will be back in a couple of hours for the Funky Hand blog hop so for now I am going to go and get a cuppa, snuggle up on the settee in my pj's with my little Mo and just soak up the love in my house today!!

I coloured her up with my promarkers and made a yummy card base from my MME papers then added some extra stamps ( magnolia swirl and kelly pannicci stitching is always good!!!), lace and made a little heart embelly on my cricut using my george cart.

Tiddly Inks blog hop details!

So that all you Tiddly Inking peeps are ready and prepared for the hop tomorrow I wanted to share Christy's post so you can get your gorgeous creations ready in time!! so here we go......

Theme: Friends are the Flowers of Life: Use any Tiddly Inks digital image to create a card or project and participate in the blog hop

How to Participate:  
This is actually a 4-step process: 

One, you have to make the card in advance using a Tiddly Inks image, preferably with friends or flowers as the theme, but it is open to any TI image.  Just have fun! :) 

Two, post your photo and information on your own personal blog on January 13 before 12 PM CST--and at least by 5:45 PM CST---so you can meet the 6-hour window to enter the blog hop. The title of your post should be "Friends are the Flowers of Life - Tiddly Inks Blog Hop".

Three, once your blog post is live, visit the Tiddly Inks challenge blog (our enrollment list will be open for 6 hours--see times below) and link your blog hop post at the bottom of the "Flowers" Blog Hop post (there will be an Inlinkz list) in order to be qualified for the prizes. There is no need to sign up in advance---just have a post ready to link. 

Four, the enrollment time will close at 6:00 PM (and hopefully we have about 30 to 40 people who linked) and then we hop around and view their cards---and your card---from the list on the Tiddly Inks challenge blog.
