One Little Word...

Morning Peeps!!!
No make from me today! just a word!!
This year I will be beginning my first Project Life journey and I wanted to join in with the One Little Word project too. I am really excited about having something to focus in on and bought my self the digi Becky Higgins Celementine kit from Jessica Sprague.com to get me started. Then all I needed to do was choose a word....

So it has taken me almost a week to narrow down my word for 2013! I am not feeling too bad about it though because I saw my gorgeous buddy Carissa's post this morning and she had a huge list to decide on hers.
Me? I had 2 words on my list..Family and Breathe. I have been lamenting between the 2 because they are both gorgeous subjects to choose but my final choice was easy because of the moments with my family or in my life that make me Breathe, hence my one little word for 2013 is....
BREATHE.

and my reasoning? well, its easy really.

To breathe is to live and there are moments in my life that take my breath away, moments that I love and will remember forever, then there are the moments that make me so sad I feel like I can't breath like when I read about the terrible shootings at Sandy Hook school. There are also those moments where I have to remember to breath to forget about it or stop myself from saying something negative...:) but all of these moments shape my life and thoughts so I think its a good word to choose.

So how I am going to remember to think on my word... I decided to have one little journal card in my project life layout a week devoted to my word so I can keep track on any of my thoughts or events that have happened that took my breath away ( ...or made me need to hold it and count to 10.......!!!!!) that way when I look back next year I can hold all of those moments dear and see how they shaped my 2013.

Right got to go, cooking the furball princess some chicken breast for her kong toy and need to umpf myself into making some lunch for work too!!
Have a fabulous friday everyone

Saturated Canary challenge- Inspired by a song....

Afternoon Peeps!!
Its time for a new challenge over on the Saturated canary challenge blog and this time its our Vicky holding the reins!! she chose...
Inspired by a song
So naturally I just had to go for 'Under the Sea' from the film 'The Little mermaid'. I love that film. It is one of my big sisters favs so I always think of her when Mo watches it.

And super yey for me!! I got to use some of the teeny weeny shells and seaweed that Mo and I collected from the beach last summer.
I just kinda splodged everything on in a mess and used some medical gauze for the first time too so its a card of firsts....but it looks so cute, I really love this!!!

so pop on over to the challenge blog and see what awesomeness my gorgeous canary teamies have been creating...let me just say...SWOOOOOOOOON!!! you don't want to miss any of them!! and loads of cool songs too.

See you all when I get home from work :)

New Tiddly Inks clear stamps release.....

Morning Peeps!!!

I am so excited this morning because the release day for Christy's gorgeous new clear stamps is here and oh my gosh!!!! you will love them all....I know this because I did!! he he he he!!!!

So, the gorgeous little My I Love You stamp got Lou colourage first :) I just adore this stamp, because it is stunning and because it reminds me of my little Mo. A while ago he asked Christy for a Wryn with a fox and she drew him the awesome digital stamp Wryn and Mo so you can imagine how over the moon Mo was to see this stamp.Hence to say this card will be Mo's valentines card from me and daddy!!
The papers on this card were also made by Christy but I can't see them in the shop so you might need to beg her to release those in time for your valentines day makes :)

Next up we have a little make with 'Annabelle Birthday Wishes'....
For some reason I seem to have lines across my paper in this piccy and the camera really picked them up!! they are not on the paper when you buy it though so it must of been an ack day for my printer!! (lou wishes she had noticed dang lines before now...!!!) The paper is from the Yummy Paper set in the store. She's just so sweet! I loved colouring her up.
And there's also 'Cloud 9' in clear stamp for you too...
Along with another 2 gorgeous sets... 'Happy Mail' and 'Too Cute To Spook'......

Now the Tiddly Inkers have all been busy over christmas making some stunning samples to get you inspired and oh my gosh they rock so don't forget to peek in on the Tiddly Inks blog and see whats over there!!

Right, I have to get my butt into gear, its back to work for me today :( sad face because I feel really poo with this terrible bug still and poor little Mo is still really sick :( we went to visit my Grandad yesterday and he got all the way there fine and then he was really, really sick as he got out of the car, this bug just doesn't seem to want to leave him alone :( He didn't let it bother him though and soaked up some Grandad time....
I LOVE this picture.
So Mo gets a daddy day today and then snuggles with mummy tonight!
I will be back with a scheduled post for the new Saturated Canary challenge this afternoon.
Huge hugs Lou xxxx

Have a monstrously good new year!!!

Morning All!

I am popping in this morning with a cute but quick new year card. I LOVE this little monster guy, he is just so cute and I just wanted him bursting out of the card to wish you all a happy new year!!

He is of course one of the fabulous little digi's from the Colour Me Happy cd rom. All the papers and digi's on this card are also from this cd and the new year sentiment on the front was made with the writer on the workspace, I LOVE this font too! its so cool and goes perfectly with a little monster dude!!!
Here's another view of him through his little torn window....
And here he is inside!! I used the scroll digi and then using the writer I typed up my sentiment and sized it to fit in the scroll! fab!!
Then I coloured the monster and the scroll up with my promarkers and added some white gel pen ditty dots here and there for a bit of umpf!!!
So, How did I cut this little guy out? with a good old nestie!
I coloured him up and trimmed the insert to fit inside my card and then glued him in. Then all you need to do is pop a circle shaped nestie over the top of your little monster guy with the cutting side facing upwards, (I pop a little squidge of blue tack underneath it so that it won't wobble whilst cutting), I do it like this because then I can see really clearly where it is going to cut and which little parts of my monster dude are going to be showing.
Then close your card and pop it through your cutting machine. When you take it out you should have a lovely little monster dude staring at you through a circle window!!!

Now, to get the ripped circle effect on the front all you need to do is trim down your chosen paper for the front and then carefully place it inside your card and close the card. You should be able to see a circle of your patterned paper through the little window. Using a pencil draw around the edge of the circle onto your paper and then take it out of the card. Poke your pencil through the centre of the circle and then tear back the paper up to your pencil line. I love to make little triangle shapes with my tears.

I also always print on both sides of my paper when printing out digi papers, that way when you rip it you will have a different paper on the torn bits. All the papers in Anice's colourways are designed to work with each other so you never need worry about the 2nd pattern looking out of place. Its a bit tricky to see in the photo's but the 2nd paper is a bluey grey colour with little cirlces and squiggly lines in!!

I am popping my little monster cuteness in the  Papertake weekly challenge blogs Anything Goes challenge and the Passion for Promarkers blogs New beginnings challenge.

Promarkers used...
Greens- Olive green, pear green and Holly.
Reds- Poppy and crimson.

Well, that's me for today!! we are off to my Grandad's to sort out his new tv!
Have an awesome day peeps!

Gorjuss Bear Skin.....

Stamp-Bear Skin
Stamp-Bear Skin

Morning everyone!!
I hope you are all having a fabulous monday and are looking forward to new year? I don't celebrate new year so I will be tucked up all sleepy in bed when the new year comes in!!

It's my turn to  DT post over on the Dies to Die For blog his morning I have another Gorjuss girl to share with you all. They are still on sale in the dies to die for shop and this little Bear skin is just £5, I absolutely adore her. She is a kling mounted rubber stamp so she stamps like a dream.

I kept my colours simple (...because they were the ones still sat in my pencil case from working away friday night!! ) so the whole image is coloured on soft brown and pink promarkers.

The colours of my stamped Gorjuss matched beautifully with some of the papers from Lily bee Designs Persnickety paper pad....almost to gorgeous to use but they went so well I made myself use them instead of stroke them!! romfl!!! and oh my!! that May Arts crocheted velvet centre ribbon....swoooooon! I love it!!

Well that's it from me today folks!! I am not up to much of anything today as Mo and I are still desperately trying to shake off this weird chesty cough bug, its awful. I seem to be winning as I have picked up a little today but poor little Mo is coughing his little head off and sporting a wonderful green runny nose, poor chap. We might have to take a little trip to the drop in centre this morning and see if he needs some antibiotics to help him along.

Have a wonderful new year! and I will see you in 2013!!! Its so hard to believe another year has whizzed by!!!!
Thank you for popping in on me!

My first altered candle!!

Stamp- Free Hugs from Dies to Die For.
Candle- £1 from trusty poundshop :)
Morning peeps!!!
Hope you are all having a fabulous Friday!! I am actually lost for days! Chrimbles has fried my already useless little brain and all day yesterday I thought it was wednesday....that was until my old boss rang to arrange what time I am working this afternoon!!!!romfl!! I am so glad he rang as I was so sure it wasn't for another day!!! he he he he!!!

So last night to help my brain settle down I got back into crafty mode and decided to make my first altered candle with my Free Hugs Saturated Canary stamp. I keep seeing these gorgeous candles people have been making with their stamps and thinking to myself I want to do it but never took the plunge!! I am so pleased I did because it was so much fun. I need to practice my colouring on the tissue paper a bit to get nicer blends of colours  because its so different to working on my normal promarker paper choice but thats all part of the fun of stamping in a different way.

I got 3 of these pillar candles from the poundshop before christmas so you can probably expect to see another 2 candles popping up soon!!

Right, I am off to get dressed and get another load of washing on...its funny how behind you get with 3 days off the laundry for christmas!!!! and Mo is busy learning 'furbish' with his new furby!! its quite funny!! he asked for breakfast by telling me
" mummy I am ay-tay for some coco pops please"
romfl!!!!

Thank you for popping in on me
Huge hugs Lou xxx

LOTV Baby Blanket...awwwww!!

Morning peeps....well just into afternoon really but hey ho!!!! at least I am here!!! romfl!!!

I am feeling so much better today, still icky coughy but no accompanying dizzy head and achiness so I am on the mend me thinks!! and thats a good job as  had a couple of chrimbles orders to get finished!!

I stamped and paper pieced, coloured and added fun flock to the little blanket of my stamped baby blankets over a week ago but never got any further than that with all the poorlies and busy in our house so it was a relief to get some crafty time this morning whilst furball princess snoozled away in her crate.

I absolutely adore this little stamp, its one of my absolute favs and just so cute. These 2 cards are for my friend's little boy to give to his Godparents ( he is also absolutely gorgeous and one of mine and mo's fav little people, he's so cute you could eat him up!!)

a bit of Lou fiddly foo later and there were 2 super cute little cards sitting looking at me from the mess that was formerly my craft desk and is now an explosion of stuff!!! he he he!!!

So how are you all getting on with your chrimbliness anyway?! I am super behind with everything, haven't even made my own christmas cards yet...oooops!! must get on with that and the present wrapping is going to do itself tonight while I sleep.........lol!!!

Thank you so much for popping in on me,
Huge hugs Lou xxxxx

Lord Timmie Tag!!

Hello Peeps!
I am really late in today! my weekend was full of awesome carol concerts at church and birthday fun for my little Mo and a wicked chesty cough and lergy for us all!!! grrrr!!! so I am late in getting my little Dies to Die For DT make for you all done today..... 2 paracetemol and a good old swig of covonia at 6pm and I felt well enough to go crafty ahead!!!

Its a bit of Tim Holtz for you all today! I am behind with my gift wrapping and wanted some really nice gift tags to go on top of the kraft paper I am going to be wrapping with this year.

I popped the little reindeer mover and shaper into my bookplate and tag die and placed my MME paper so that it cut him out down in the corner, that left a gorgeous reindeer silhouette when I mounted it onto my Kraft card. Then I cut the 25 and a tattered pine cone out and distress inked them to give them some colour. I punched a circle out and mounted the 25 onto it then crackle accents the numbers.

I ripped a scrap of the kraft card and glued it to the top of my tag and the fir cone fitted perfectly in the little hole at the top of the tag. It looks so cute and the MME All is bright paper was just a gorgeous match with it yummy doily pattern. I can't wait to pop this tag on someone's gift.

Right, I am off back to mooching around and feeling sorry for myself!! romfl!!!
