Strawberries and dream....

Good Morning peeps!!!! it is so nice here in Lincoln this morning, we had a little shower of rain in the night and the air is lovely and clear this morning which is nice as it has been so muggy.

I am enjoying the quiet outside as in around 3 hours there will be the constant noise of helicopter rides and big planes!!! I live right near RAF Waddington and it is the airshow this weekend!!! Mo is not a fan of the noisy planes so we are taking a womble into town together and catching the bus back while scott and ryan are at a football tournament all day.

The card is my challenge card for the ukcrafters thread over on the cricut mb, this weeks challenge was to emboss and I just had to use this cute little guy from Lily-boo’s boutique Little mouse collection
I coloured him with my copics and cut him out, then I inked and doodled on a scalloped white card and popped a bit of satin white ribbon on ( ...i always follow robyn's cheater method for ribbon,it saves such lot of ribbon that way thankyou robyn!!!!!) then I glued on the cute mose and made a sentiment in word, I stuck with my "strawberries and dream....." sentiment, its cute with him snoozling away on a tummy full of strawberries!!!!!

polkadoodle challenge card!!!!

Morning peeps!!!! well there is another boiling hot day forecast !!!! i hope it isn't a muggy one though as I am sooo tired!! mo and I have been up 4 nights in a row with asthma now and I am starting to feel like my batteries are running on empty!!!!!

I actually managed to get my polkadoodle challenge card done last night though!!!

This one is for my friend kelly who is turning 30 next week, I thought it was quite funny as I was just sitting in my crafty garage making it with my computer on (i always have my computer out there to chat with my friends oin the cricut mb!!!!) and she popped up on my facebook!!!! she must of known I was thinking of her!!!!

I used one of Lily-boo’s boutique printable images
(celebration collection) for the litle cupcake and resized it in paint shop pro to make it 2" so it would cut out nicely with my fiskars squeeze punch!! I coloured it with m copics, 3d glossed the strawberry and stickled the pink frosting, the photo came up a bit pants but it looks yummy in "real life"!!! lol!!!

I made my landscape card base with some pink card and matted some pretty retro -ish pink summery papers I had in my stash. I cut a little rectangle of the happy birthday paper from the same stack and did a few white doodle lines on it. I inked the edges of the pinks a bit to lift them from the base and used some anitas glittery lines for the 'ribbon' bit ( oooh, if you haven't tried them you should get some, they are sticker glittery lines that come on a little sheet and they are fab to use) I stamped a little 'celebrate' on the black square and added a couple of pink card candy's to bling it up a little more ( kelly is actually excited about turning 30!! i was in complete denial when i turned 30!!!lol!!!)

I like this card, it is bright and cheery!!! I had better go and get ready for work now!! Mo has his 2nd little visit to school today and he seems to be quite looking forward to it today ( he was a little quiet about it all last night and didn't fancy it but has cheered up about it this morning so thats a relief!!)

Daring cardmakers challenge!!

Hellloooooo!!!!!!

I have had such a lovely day today. We have had a bit of a family BBQ with my dad, big sis and hubby and their children and it was sooo much fun!!! you should of seen the "trying to get a photo with us all in with camera's on timer" palava!! it was so funny!!!!!

Anyway, my lovely friend Enfys showed me the way to postpals today with the Daring cardmakers challenge so I decided to jump in and do one.

Oh my, I had a tough time reading the little stories and an even tougher time choosing but I decided on Tie D, he had such a cute,cheeky look on his face I couldn't resist him!!!!

I used one of Lily-boo’s boutique
for my cute spider circle and heat embossed the spider with my embossing pen and some sparkly black powder, I coloured his little boots red and then put 3d gloss over him t make him stand out a bit. I went over the web with a silver pen and doodled a bit to!!! I embossed the mat with tiny bubbles, inked it white and then added a little ribbon with tie's name in little wooden alphabet stickers from my stash and a little bit of silver thread. The love and bugs is from my ugly bugs set from andrea. On the inside I made up a sentiment that says

" Have a bug-ely day" ( instead of have a lovely day!!)

So my little spider will be going on a little trip in the mail and plop onto Tie's doormat this week!! I hope it makes him smile!!!! If you have a spare minute pop on over to daring cardmakers and join in with the challenge.

Uk crafters thread challenge card!!

Hellloooo!!!!!! Over on the Ukcrafters thread on the cricut mb we have a new challenge mistress (........Lou pictures Kerry in black leather cracking a whip..!!!lol!!!)

and we had a great sketch to follow.

I decided to cut out a little window for the circle on the sketch and use Little mo's super cute stamp set (shhhh, don't tell him I did that,I would be in trouble!! he saved up his pocket money to buy one set and when he got there there was this set too so he chose this one!!) I stamped and heat embossed the webs with sparkly powder but it hasn't come up too well in the pictures and then cut a circle out for the windo using my george cart on my cricut, I glued the cut out circle to the inside of the card and popped the cute little spider on some acetate with StazOn so that when the card is open he is still 'hanging around'!!!!

The cute little spider is called scatty, he ,the little webs and sentiment come in the set too. The set is ugly bugs set 7 and all of andrea’s ugly bugs stamps are just so cute,so check them out!!

Right, I am off for my weekly fix of the mentalist now...mmmmmmm...simon baker....mmmmmmmm....!!!!

Oh my poor neglected little blog!!!!

Oh boy ,have I been busy and my poor little blog has been sitting and waiting for me to pay it some attention!!!!!
First we have my little niece lily-boo's 4th birthday card!! she loves cupcakes so I used one of lily-boo's boutique's cakes from the 'celebrations' collection and put real cake sprinkles on top!!!!! lots of fun!!! the card base I made in CDS and I felt I needed a tilda to sit on top of the cake!!!!!! I like this card, its cute!!! Close up of yummy cake!!!!!

Awwwwwwww!!! my crafty little boys in my crafty garage making daddy's fathers day cards!!!.....yes my worktop really is that messy in there!!!!lol!!!!! thats why i haven't shown you al a propoer piccy of it yet!!!! (lou winces with embaressment!!!! while all her friends think my godness how does she craft in there!!!! i promise it is organised chaos!!!)

Anyway my cute little guys both chose edwin fishing and heat embossed him before they coloured him in and i just had to pinch a piccy of them busy!!!

This is scott's nanna's birthday card!!! I used my new tilda stamp and paper pieced her pinny,shoes and bobble with paper to match the background paper. The little hearts are stickled and 3d glossed but as always I struggled to get a good piccy!!!!

And finally!!!! scotts dad's birthday card using my nitwits collection fbq some assembly required!!

Whew!!!!! well thats it for now, there are actually 4 more cards not on here that I made and posted so I have been rushed off my feet!!!!!! I am hoping to get time to do my polkadoodle card later but i have my plan to do for work first!!!!!!!!!

Polkadoodle challenge 4!!

Well, I just can't settle today!! My dad is on his way here from his home in the seychelles, probably over the ocean still as there was a 5 hour delay,grrrrrr!!!! I am sooo excited as we haven't seen him for 2 years which seems like forever. I have checked the flights and he should land at 1pm now so I am just waiting!!!

While I was waiting I decided to get my polkadoodle challenge done,check out polkadoodle HERE

After looking at the DT's fab projects I decided to be brave and try something a little different so I went for a gift tag ( I have 9 birthdays in June to sort stuff out for so this little guy should come in handy!!)

I love the freebie paper , I printed it out and stamped my little woodware doggie on it. I stamped him twice and popped up just his head and paws with foam dots. I coloured a few patches with a light brown whispers pen to make him look cute!!!

I made the kennel using my paper pups cart and inked the edges a bit then stamped and heat embossed the 'just for you' tag. I also inked a little bit of the paper with sme brown ink and popped it behind the dog for the inside of his kennel!! The ribbon is from my stash.

Right I'm off to tesco now for supplies!!

Pressie card for my big sis following enfys's instructions!!

Good morning peeps!!!!!!

The sun is shining and it is friday!!!yey!!! I love the sunshine, it lifts my spirits right up to see sunshine when I open the curtains.

This card is one completely inspired by some amazing cards that enfys made for a magazine called papercraft inspirations, en is amazing, she never fails to amaze me with her ideas for cards.

This particular card is for my big sis sam. A hot chocolate supplies card came into my head when I saw en's cards so this is what I came up with. I thought the cow was so cute when I saw it I had to choose that little sachet!! I popped some marshmallows in a little clear bag (...I couldn't help but nibble a few as I was sorting the into a pretty little pattern...!! lol!!) and made the top of the bag on my computer. I used one of lily-boo's really cute little betty's to make the circle, I didn't want to colour it in as it looked so cute as it was. I made it in word and inserted the picture into it. The sentiment inside is part of a poem I found. A bit of spotty ribbon and a little heart brad for the front of the card and hey presto!! one hot choc gift card for my lovely big sis!! Party Penguin!!!!

Good morning peeps!!!!!!

Well exam season has been on us here in the UK and 2 of the children I used to nanny for have just finished A- levels and G.C.S.E.'S so I made them this little penguin card last week to share, ( they are brother and sister so sharing is ok!!!)

I used one of the cute Lily-boo's boutique penguins in a circle for the front and ran a bit of silver pearlescent card through my cuttlebug with spots and dots to get a kind of funky mat behind the penguin. I popped a bit of ribbon over the little join in the embossing and inked the edges with charcoal. The sentiments I did on my computer.I popped some 3d gloss on the little guy but it is sort of hard to see in the picture. He is kind of cute don't you think?!

I got the most amazing birthday gift from my friend at work yesterday, it is a punch that makes a 3d butterfly, it is soooo cool!!! I practised on a free catalogue that came through the door last week and it looks very pretty now!!! lol!!!! I will make a card with it when i get a chance but my mojo has taken a bit of a knock with my lovelt holiday finishing and getting back into the working week routine!! so i am off to go and find it now!!

Polkadoodle's challenge 3!!!!

Here is my attempt at the 3rd polka doodle challenge.

I used my new download FBQ- some assembly required and the little extras one you can get from http://www.nitwitcollections.com/ .

I love these papers, they are sooo cute. I used 3 of the papers and then the heart embellie that comes in the extras bit for the front. It is just a simple tag pocket card so doesn't stand up but I love it. I used some of mo's fiskars shape cutting scissors to get the decorative edge, ( I was thinking it looked like a saw...!!!) I made the flower using one of the little bttons that comes in the extras kit and some scraps of ribbon to make the petals.

You will probably notice that the last picture doesn't have the cute flower buttony thing on it....thats because i didn't see the flower bit (......until my lovely friend kate told me i had missed it!!lol!! thankyou kate xxxxx)

The picture is a little bit pants because it is a bit of a grey and gloomy day here in lincoln today :(

Right I have to go and pop some really, really cute new girls on sams blog now (for those that don't know it is http://www.lily-boosboutique.blogspot.com/) I know I am always saying that I am a little biased but i can't wait to get a chance to get my hands on these cuties!!!!!
