Lemur Love.....

Image- Lemur Love.
Morning all!

It's my little sister's wedding today and I'm so excited I might explode!! My Dad,Unamum and littlest sister have come over from Seychelles for it and when my big sister gets here from Nottingham it will be the first time we have all been together for 15 years!! oh my!!!!!

On Tuesday, Little Mo and I went to Yorkshire Wildlife Park with our BF's and had a wonderful day. And, as always, he really enjoyed the Lemur walkthrough. They were all snuggled up on the grass and so sweet .......and they totally inspired me to make this wedding card for my little sister for Saturday!!

Let's take a closer look at those eyes!! oh my!!! 2 layers of glossy accents on the eyes and little noses after I had coloured them really made them pop!! I LOVE it!!

Thank you for popping in, hugs Lou xxx

Narwhalrycorn!!!

 Image- Gnarly Birthday.
Morning peeps!

I am late with my blog post this morning because I slept terribly last night and even though I am still on the 2nd cup of matcha and lime tea, I still resemble a zombie that's been on the day shift!!!!

But I'm here now with my Narwhalycorn make for Tiddly Inks Fab Friday!! I just adore this image...even though I really want to eat his ice cream right now....!!!

Here's a closer peek at his cuteness!! awwwwwww!!

Right, I am slinkying back into my cuppa now and then I'll make a start on brekkie as we are off to Ikea today to get some bits to tidy up our ever getting messier craft room/garage of doom!! It's a bomb site and needs some Ikea organisational magic in there!!! (....well.....ermmmm...this is the line I have fed gorgeous hubby in order to just get me to Ikea........I'll try to tidy up after I promise!!!!!).

Have a fabulous friday everyone, huge hugs Lou xxx

Get Whale Soon.............

Good Morning peeps!

I'm so happy to share this little Get Whale Soon make using the super sweet little whale and his sentiment from the Gummiapan Animal Kit sheet B stamp set. It is still one of my favourite sets to use because of those fabulous bold stamping lines you get.

Here's a closer look at the whale! I added a little glossy accent to his balloon, I love it!! I decided to paper piece my elephant to add some extra fun to the card. I love paper piecing and this stamp set is perfect for it with those gorgeous bold ink lines. I stamped him onto a scrap of patterned paper from my bits box and then fussy cut him out with my scissors. I also stamped him out on white cardstock so once I had cut him out with the Gummiapan Animal Kit B Matching Dies he would still stand proud from the little circle of design paper behind him.

I used hot glue to stick the paper pieced whale onto the white die cut so that when it dried he popped out a little. Then I squeezed some glossy accents onto his little spout and arranged some beads from my stash to make him a 3D little spray. To keep those on safe, I then glossy accented over the top of them too.

I love the swooshy font on the Get Whale Soon sentiment, it's so pretty. I stamped it on another scrap of design paper from the same pad in my stash and then cut it with a die, also from my stash...I have a good lot of stash to play with!!!!

I love to liven my cards up by distressing the layers. All I do is run my scissor blade down them to 'fluff' them up. It looks especially nice when you glue a little piece of scrap design paper behind the curled up tears in the paper. I love this effect.

Oooh and don't forget...

Thank you for popping in!!  Huge hugs and squishes, Lou xx

Mummu's Bike....

Image- Mummu's bike.
Morning all!

I'm popping in with a Mummu make! oh, she is just one of my absolute favourites and I can never resist a little crafty time with her. She really does just give you the warm fuzzies with her smile, doesn't she?

I've had such a wonderful weekend and I'm still floating on cloud 9 a bit!! on Saturday I reached my Slimming World Target!! wahoooooooo!! (...though I also went to my Godfather's wedding and think I have probably stacked it all back on with yummy food and treats!!!!!).

I also achieved something so special it really hasn't sunk in properly with all the busy weekend-ness. I won Woman of the Year at my Slimming World group along with my beautiful friend, Kirsty. Don't get me wrong, the sash, certificate and flowers are so lovely but whats magic to me is that the amazing men and women in my slimming world group nominated me and feel that I deserved to win this award? It just makes me feel so humble and emotional all at once. I have looked at my certificate and sash a million times and still can't take it in. How special is that? I have to be honest and admit I never thought I would get that blooming weight shifted, let alone get to target or be an inspiration for other so it really is a beautiful thing.

Here is a little piccy our gorgeous friend Jools took of me and Kirsty with our awards, she even managed to make me look like I have a halo on!!! he he!! It was so lovely to have Kirsty with me because I nominated her. I really still can't believe it!

Right, I'm going to have a lovely cuppa and a little relaxation before I tackle the ironing mountain!!  Thank you for popping in, huge hugs Lou xx

Tiddly Inks challenge #216...Clean and Simple..

Morning all!!

Its that Tiddly time of the month again where we start a new challenge! this months challenge is...
Clean & Simple.
so think less layers, no froo froo and just simples!

(**remember...We love to see any new creation, a card, 3D project, journal page etc
but you must use a Tiddly Inks stamp or image **)

I decided to go with Wryn Christmas Gift for my image choice and turn her into a Thank you gift kinda card! I love how she can be used for different gifty occasions!! Remeber peeps, a Wryn isn't just for Christmas!!!! hehe!!!

Right, I need to scooteroo! I need to finish off a pavlova for our BFF's get together today. I've made a Slimming World wreath pavlova but I'm popping Mango, Pineapple and Orange on it for a summer kinda feel. It has quark and fat-free greek yoghurt topping with a mango and pineapple blended sauce to drizzle. I so hope its yummy because its one of my BF's birthday. We are all trying to eat healthily so I figured this was a fabulous alternative to a huge Lou cake!!! and its just 3 syns a serving! wahoooo!!!

Thank you for popping in, huge hugs Lou xx

Sprout mini notepad....

Image- Sprout.
Morning all!!

Do you ever just feel like not making cards with your images and sprouting out into something a bit different?!! well, that's definitely the way my making mojo has felt this week! sometimes it's sooo good though to be reminded that we don't buy Mo's images just to make cards with!

Today I went for a little decorated notepad using some scraps of my papers I had left and a little mini notepad from my ever growing stationary addiction....all crafters have this addiction too right?!!!!

I printed Sprout out and then die cut her out with a little circle that would fit nicely on the front of the pad. I love the way doing this focuses in one just one little bit of the image.

Thank you for popping in. huge hugs Lou xxx

Tilda baby bauble....

Stamps- Sleeping Tilda.
Nappy and feet on top from the Christmas countdown Doo Hickey.
Papers- DCWV Nana's Nursery Boy paper stack.

Good Morning all!! Happy half week!!

It's feeling a bit hot here again today so I'm hiding in my kitchen on my pooter blogging and avoiding the outside! lol! it's gorgeous to look at and fabulous for my washing drying on the line but I don't like being out in it!!

Last week 3 of my friends gave me the super exciting news that they are expecting...and of course...we all know how much a Lou loves babies!!! so I decided I needed to make some baby cuteness!! and I couldn't resist some Magnolia stamps making time!!

My lovely friend, Sandra, gifted Mo and I some gorgeous crafty bits a while ago and I have dipped into them to use this fabulous bauble.

Just look at those cute Chubby Feet and little nappy die cuts...awwwwwww!! I got them in the Magnolia stamps Christmas countdown set and it's the first time I've used them. I cut 2 of the feet and coloured them with my promarkers and then cut the nappy with my papers and glued a little mini safety pin to the front. I stuck my finger in the nappy (...luckily it was clean !! bwah ha ha ha ha!!!) to give it a little bit more dimension.

And then, of course, there's  Sleeping Tilda. I stamped it and then fussy cut before I coloured. I went for a boy feeling this time and then doodled some little hearts on the top with a white gel pen. then I started decorating the little disc that comes with the bauble for you to pop your 'scene' on. I popped the tag die cut behind the baby with some cotton gauze and a little dummy charm on some twine through the tag! soo cute!!

And lastly, there are the chubby feet!! I stamped them coloured them and then I glossy accented them for extra cuteness!! you just want to squish them, don't you?!!! I cut the Roxstamps Congrats die twice and layered it up again. The little flag banner is from one of my older Doo Hickey clubs too, the one with the teapot.

Then I just splodged in some sequins and little bally things to make it pretties!! and it was done!

Time for me to pootle off and find something to do today. Mo is busy looking at his nerf arsenal and deciding which ones are best for the zombie apocalypse and I've got the laundry washed and hung so I'm sort of twizzling my fingers now!!

Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone! huge hugs Lou xxx
