Christmas Carton!!!

Morning Peeps!

I'm in for you today and I have been having some fun making little bits to put on our table for christmas day. The Gummiapan Milk Carton die was just perfect for this!! they would be so wonderful to make a little advent calendar with too!!

I used the stunning new Christmas Season papers from Maja Designs to die cut my little carton and the little tag is from the Magnolia Doo Hickey club 20 magazine.

I even covered my mini bulldog clip with a little scrap that was left over too! I love how it all co-ordinates!! oooh, get me!!!

There is a super amount of size to tuck in some little treats like sweets or even a Lego man if you have a Lego obsessed child like me!! he he!!! It's just shy of a lip balm height so you can tuck some little cute things in there!

Right, I need to go drink lots of water for my ultrasound today...I am going to be bursting for the loo!!!

Thank you for popping in, Huge hugs Lou xxx

Music... Doo Hickey Club 19

Good Morning peeps!

It's my Swedish House Crafts DT post today and I wanted to share a make using  Magnolia DooHickeyClub Vol 19- Music.

Now, I have to be honest and admit I was pretty underwhelmed when my set arrived but as soon as I started snipping the dies in the set apart for how I store them on a magnetic sheet, the idea's of what I could make with this set started to whir through my head like little cogs!!!

I have had the gorgeous Danish Opera Tilda in my stash from the shop last year. I decided to use just her and not her violin die too as there were so many gorgeous little nik nak kinda dies in the Magnolia DooHickeyClub Vol 19- Music set already. I went with a little dancing on the piano-shaped stage and getting thrown flowers scene instead!

I eagerly went about cutting the piano die with my Neenah Desert storm A4 cardstock. I coloured the little top keys with my Warm Grey promarkers. Then again in a woodgrain effect paper from my stash, trimming off the key part and then I glued a little strip of white cardstock behind the keys on the kraft piece to get the black and white keys.

I loved the little music stand. It has a couple of places on it marked when you cut it for where to layer up for some fun dimension. I went with the little 'music holder' at the top of the stand to hold a little 'sheet' of paper and the bottom part of the stand so it stood out a little more. I also had fun with a few of the little musical note die cuts placing them all floaty around the whole card so you could 'feel' the music theme.

For her little congratulatory bouquet, I die cut 3 roses and 3 stems and coloured them up with my promarkers. Then I assembled them and added a little bit of stickles to make the rose heads glisten.
I used a little bit of button thread from my stash to make a little bow.

The big swooshy musical score die is just gorgeous. I cut it in kraft cardstock and then coloured the little notes in my Warm Grey promarkers and added a little glossy accent so they stood out more from the score. I love how they came out.

The big note die is just stunning, I think it may be my favourite die from the set because it is just so pretty and I am sure that is a little heart set in the middle there too. It's just so sweet, isn't it?!

Right, time for a cuppa. I cannot get myself into proper gear today!! My left toe had an infection again... ( well, clearly it felt left out from the right toe having one..again..last week!!!) and it is sooooooo sore I could cry!!! I think it's yucky ingrown nails from damage from chemo last year so the Dr is referring me to someone to take a look at them. So hopefully all will be good soon!!

Thank you for popping in, huge hugs Lou xx

Tilda with dotted boots....

Magnolia Doily Flowers dies.

Morning everyone,

I'm with my Swedish Housecrafts DT post for you today. I was in a wonderful playing mood when I sat down to create this so I decided to alter a little plain kraft gift bag instead of making a card. It's such a lovely way to send off a little gift to a friend.
I love the Gummiapan Hen's Net die tucked in behind the matting layers and the super cute little Gummiapan Heart Button die to 'tie' the twine together. It just creates a little bit more interest in the whole fun scene coming together with the little chick!! sooo cute!!

I used 2 stamps from the Magnolia stamps It's Springtime' release, they really are just totally too cute!! I went for Tilda with dotted boots and one of the chicks from the Cute Chickens set. The littlest chick was just a perfect size to keep Tilda company while she collects her flowers!! Let's take a closer look at them!!....

Awwwwwwwwwww right?!!! I paper pieced Tilda's clothing so she would match into the papers I had chosen to decorate the bag with. Luckily, the fabulous 12x12 Maja Designs Vintage spring basics 10th of March paper gave me plenty of playroom to paper piece and cut out all the little extra flowers too! and look at Tilda's little boots!! I coloured those in yellow with little green dots and then added some glossy accents to make them shine.

I cut the stamped image 'mat' out with the Gummiapan Old paper dies.(..sadly they are out of stock at the minute but hopefully back soon so pop them on your wishlist for when they come back in!).
Then I had some fun die cutting some Magnolia flower Doo hickeys from my stash. These ones are the Magnolia Doily Flowers and they are just a dream to play with. I cut them out, gave them a good spray of glimmer mist, squished them up and then dried them out with my heat gun before unscrewing them.
I gathered 2 together and popped a mini brad in to hold them together and make the flower middle.

And mixed in this one below are the teeny little flowers from the Doo Hickey 14 set. They just finished off the corner arrangement with being so teeny and cute! Oooooh I do love a good play with my flower dies now and again!! you honestly do forget how nicely they come together.

I also used the absolutely stunning Magnolia Bon Voyage Dragonflies. They are one of my all-time favourite Doo Hickey buys!! This is the smaller dragonfly of the 2 and so sweet. I cut it twice and layered it up for some dimension in the wings, and the used a little scrap of the Hen's Net die cut I had leftover from my matting to make the handle of the bag look a little less boring. it looks so sweet.

Corrrrrrrrrrrrrr!! I've spammed you with piccies a bit today!! lol!!! but there were just so many fun bits to altering that little boring kraft bag I couldn't help myself!! I'm going to leave you all in peace from my waffling on now and go and get a cuppa!!

Huge hugs and thank you's for popping in, Lou xxxx

'Cause I love you.....

Morning everyone!

There's just one more crafty day to go until Valentines Day and I have been busying away making Scott's card.

I adore the Magnolia Lovely Emoji's collection and I bought them all last year because there was no way I could choose just a few things!!!

Cause I love you Tilda is my favourite though. There's just something about the way she holds that little heart in her hand that makes me smile.....plus her hair is pretty much like mine right now so I can identify with her!! he he!! I added a little glossy accent to the heart to make it stand out even more, and I doodled some teeny little white hearts onto her socks too....

For a little scenery, I used the Magnolia Doohickey- Lovely Fence die. Now, when you cut it out, make sure you keep all those gorgeous little heart negative cuts that come out of the fence tops. I used these to scatter around my card and to accent a few of the corners of my matting.

For the matting on my card, I used the stunning Gummiapan Dies -Old Paper dies. The effect on their edges is just so pretty. I added a little distress inking with Walnut stain distress ink to them once I had die cut them just to add some softness to the cut edge.

For the sentiment, I just stamped it and cut around it with the edges of one of the smaller dies so that it matched the rest of the matting.

A little lace and twine from my stash just finished it off. The little flowers on the fence are from the Magnolia Doohickey 14 kit. I blooming love that kit.

Right, time to move my booty!!! I need a cuppa and some brekkie!!! Thank you for popping in on me, huge hugs Lou xxx

Nurse Tilda........

Papers- Maja Designs Vintage Spring Basics 6x6.

Morning everyone!

I couldn't resist sharing the make I have just got finished using my gorgeous 13 days of halloween kit from Magnolia again for a quick make this morning!

Before I forget to mention it, the dies from this set are limited edition so don't miss out on them if you neeeeeeed them! he he!! You can find the Get Well stamps and dies singly HERE or you can get the whole set HERE.

I used the little flag banner from the Doo Hickey 16 Fall in love set and then the teeny hearts are from the Heart Medicine die. They were left over from my make yesterday and way too cute not to squidge in somewhere!! they would make super sweet litle shaker card shakies too wouldn't they?!!!

Right, I had better brave the chilly sunshine and go and walk Tyson. Mo is immersed in a Narnia film morning. After watching the Dawntreader last night, he has decided he needs to watch them all again!!! I do love that he loves the good films though, the classics are always the best.

Thank you for popping in, huge hugs Lou xxx

Doo Hickey 14...Afternoon Tea.......

Dies- Doo Hickey 14, Afternoon Tea from Swedish House Crafts.
Stamp- Magnolia Tea Label.
Stamp-  from Swedish House Crafts.
Papers- First Edition 6x6 Love Story pad.
Morning everyone!

I hope you are all waking up to a wonderful wednesday. I am hoping to have a fabulous day of crafty fun today but first a cuppa and apricot conserve on toast calls!!! got to sort the hungry bear Lou tummy out first right??

Talking of tea, I was sooo excited to get my Doo Hickey 14 Afternoon Tea set. It is full of such cuteness! and of course, I had to get that set into action yesterday!! I was so blessed to of got it from Suha over at Swedish House Crafts. She super looks after her customers and when it came without its early bird die she would not send it out until it had been rectified and then because she just rocks, she sent the gorgeous Magnolia Tea Label stamp with it. I LOVE that stamp sooo much!! It's from the Yummy for my Tummy collection but lets face it, Magnolia stamps never get old and always work together just dreamily. I just had to colour and glossy accent up my lil strawberries on it!! too cute!!!

To make their little eyes stand out a bit more I dry embossed the back of them with an embossing tool and then distress inked them a teensy bit. It makes them look so much more alive (...well...it does in Lou world anyway!! he he!!).

For the tea bag die cut Icovered the card with a little gauze to make it look more tea baggy! can you tell I was in for uber fun yet?! lol! there is a die to cut a lovely string for it but I wanted an actual string so I used a little bit of cotton twine.

Right, my tummy is totally grumbling for something yummy now so I need to go feed the bear!!! Have a wonderful day everyone, thank you for popping in. HUgs Lou xxx

And luckily for me, my gorgeous friend,Becky, had made a tutorial for something I just couldn't resist......a bit of time with my Magnolia stuff!!!!

I just pulled out all my magnolia yummies for this one and delved through them until I had a pile of bits I wanted!! he he!! ooooh it was so much fun!! A lot of my magnolia bits are the older bits but I just adore them.

I am absolutely in love with the mini stamps (....hard to find but I absolutely adore them to pieces!!!) and the magnolia scenery stamps are just magical. There is nothing on this card that isn't magnolia apart from the kraft cardstock base!! lol!!
I paper pieced my lil fairies dress and boots so she matched the paper of the frame. I do love a bit of fussy cutting ( thank the lord for my stampin up scissors!!!!!!!!!!).

So that's me for today! Thank you for popping in
