Passion for promarkers challenge 238....Butterfly Kisses...

Stamp- Butterfly Tilda.
Papers- Magnolia.
Promarkers-
Browns- Burnt sienna, caramel and sandstone.
pinks- Burnt orange, coral, sunkissed pink and blush.
Blues- Midnight blue, Denim blue and pastel blue.
Good morning peeps!!

Its time for a new challenge over on the Passion for Promarkers challenge blog and this week its set by our Eileen. This weeks challenge is....
Butterfly Kisses
So..add a butterfly to your make!!

and we are sponsored by
and Crafty Sentiments who will be giving 3 digi's this week.

I just had to go with Butterfly Tilda, some delicious magnolia papers and some punched butterflies to add a bit of pumpf to the layers!! I love how this card turned out.

I always stamp the delicate antenna's on these Tilda's onto acetate with staz-on, cut them out and then stick them to the back's of their head! the acetate is sooooo much easier to maneuver around because of the clear acetate you can leave a little more room around them and they don't get snipped off by accident.

Right, I need to go make Mo's salad sandwich for his pack up!!! I lead such an exciting life!! he he he he!!!

Thank you for popping in on me and have a totally awesome day!

Ellie says Hi!!!

 Stamp- Ellie says Hi.

Morning everyone! another monday has come rolling by and its me, Lou, in with another make using the fabulous new Tiddly Inks stamps.

I have a thing for cards with dimension! I love that 'pop' they give. This one was cut on my silhouette machine but there is an awesome die in the shop that can do this card shape base too, its the Cheery Lynn Step Card.

I masked the bottom of my image mat off with a scrap of card and then stamped Ellie onto it. I love doing that rather than having her look like she was just splodged on (...lou thinks about that and then thinks...nah..people know I just splodge right?!!!!) gave her a quick colour up wth my promarkers and then got to work on the playing around with the base!! thats my favourite bit!! he he he!!

I added a little fencing and some gorgeous butterflies to make it feel all floaty and cheery. Ellie comes with a few options of what to pop in her speech bubble, I went for one of the 'Hi's'.

Here's a front view for you to peek at!! she is just soooo cute!!

Well, I was on holiday last night from work, bit of a surprise one but a nice one! I am off next sunday too but I knew about that one for a while!

On saturday we had a wonderful day and all Mo wanted to do was go to the library so off we pootled and 15 books later he had a wonderful day on the settee reading. Now he may have many Mo-isms but his reading we have always loved. He gets completely lost in a book and I just love it. Here he is at lunchtime..he did move to go to the loo a couple of times but he sat there until 3:30pm just reading!!!
Have a wonderful day everyone.

Its another bag!!!

Hi everyone!!!

well, I wasn't going to bore you all with another Lou handbag card but then I saw the new Ribbon Girl lovely lili's animals challenge and I just had to share this little set I was working on this morning to play along with their gorgeous challenge!!

The lady who the card is for loves lilac so I had to squeeeeze the lilac in with the green coloured radley-ish bag. I picked the 'Emma Walkies' because Mavis loves dogs so trying to tie it all in with an LOTV stamp just makes it so easy!!

Here's a close up of the card.....

I didn't have a light green promarker so I blended my olive and pear green with primrose to get the lights on the dress, I love how it turned out!
This piccy below is the card sitting in its little bag. I coloured in some white thickers adhesive letters with my lavender promarker and then popped them on one of my lacey oval nesties inside the box....
and here's a little piccy of the card all nestled into its little Radley-ish bag ready to go!! I know I am pants at drawing and cutting out little Radley-ish dogs but they give the right effect I hope!! lol!!!
well, the boys of the house are back from the tip! we have had a wonderful day in the gorgeous sunshine so far, we had a lovely walk along the viking way with the dogs, then we have spent the rest of the day attempting to sort out the back garden a bit, it looked dreadful after a winter of small boys and sticks and his four pawed helper getting toys out and digging holes together!!! we piled a tonne of throwing out stuffs, old scooters, deaded balls etc into the car and it feels sooooo much better now!

Have a wonderful day!

Handbag birthday card....

Morning everyone!!

How are you all this morning? I am so behind with the bloggy world this week I need to have a good old catch up!!! so I can finally share this uber cute little 'Radley' bag I made for one of the lovely ladies at work who is celebrating her birthday today, and she LOVES Radley bags so I just had to make another little handbag!! I love these!!

I super loved making this. I had to draw the little Radley-ish dog by hand but he came out ok!!!! Here it is open...

My trusty silhouette machine helped me with some nifty '50' cutting numerals and Eileen's name, that I blinged up a squidge with my glitter spicas!!
The little card is full of pages so we could all sign it! I used just one sheet of double sided patterned paper for the card and the inside of the bag, the look so cute all co-ordinated. The card was just a teensy 4x4 size, sooo cute!!!

A little closer in on the card! its really tricky to take piccies of blinged up writing!! but it really did look pretty IRL!!
Right, better go really, need to get Mo sorted for school. ooooh and I am quite chuffed this mornig too because at 5:20am as Mo was pootling through 'Lego ideas' on pinterest he saw a little box that he decided he needed "for Lego on the go mummy"...

Luckily I had the little Ikea box in my craft room from storing something..!! lol!! and we had a spare big grey lego board so a snip here and there and a few blobs of hot glue and wohoooo we were ready to go!!!! needless to say Mo is quite chuffed this morning and mummy can finally say...Pinterest...Nailed it!!!!!!

Thank you for popping in

Divas By Design challenge...Let's hear it for the boys!!!

Morning peeps!!

I hope you are all waking up to a wonderful wednesday! I am in with my DT make for the Divas By Design challenge blog and this week I was so excited to sit and play away on my make because its for my little guy!! so can you guess the challenge theme yet/!! yup, its....

Let's hear it for the boys!!
This week we are sponsored by Crafty charlie.

Mo absolute LOVES pirates! He actually bought this magnolia pirate Edwin stamp himself a couple of years ago so naughty mummy has been pinching his stamps again but he is soooo worth it!! the boat and the barrel are both mine though so i don't feel guilty about inking those cuties up at all!!! he he he he!!!

I decided to make him a little hanger for his bedroom door. I splodged and distressed some papers together. I loved the little tag with 'Thousands of little Moments' written on it. I underlined the Mo in moments, Mo loved that bit when I showed him the tag last night!!

Right, I had better get a movey on! I need to cook Mo pasta salad for his lunch box and finish off his horrid henry shirt for world book day tomorrow!!

Huge hugs for you all

Coloured with Promarkers.
Morning everyone!!
Well I am home from work, have had a espresso to keep me going and am just popping you all a post in before I have a shower to make myself even more awake....well...until the school run is over anyway and then after that I will be drooling on my pillow as I snore!!!!!

I have a little share made with one of the super gorgeous new Tiddly Inks stamps in the Dies to Die For shop.
This one is Ellie says Bye and she is just the cutest. I made a little treat box for one of the mummies at Mo's school who was having a little bit of a rough week :( so I wanted to add just a squidge of happy to her day and made her this box with a super yummy cookie just snuggly fitting inside!!

I mounted Ellie on some Bazzill basics kraft card ( totally love this stuff!!) and embossed the edges on my scoring board. Here's this inside shot...mmmm cookie!!!

Right then, my shower is calling!! my hair looks like fuzz and I need me some waking up!!!

a bloggy question answered!!!

Hi everyone!

I got a little question through in my emails this morning about my blog layout so I thought I would answer it on here instead incase anyone else has ever wondered about it.

So, the question was...

"Lou, can you share with me how you get your pictures so big on your blog. mine are all squished into the middle section on mine and there is a lot of space down the sides but if I make my pictures bigger they go over the side bars which looks messy. What can i do to change that out?"

ok, so the answer really very much depends on your blog template. So, lets womble through this together peeps!

OK, go to your blog and select 'Design' on the top right hand side. Then look down the left hand side and choose the 'Template' choice ( it has a little paint roller next to it).

You will then see lots of different pictures of layouts for your blog. Mine is set on a 'Simple' layout, so we will go with that for these waffles!!

When you click on your selection you should then see a few options down the side where you can click on options to change the bits on your blog. This is what mine looks like when I go to those settings. ( I have chosen the 'adjust widths' setting for this piccy so you can see the widths that mine is set at....

and this is what it looks like on mine when I select the 'Layout' option...

So onto photographs!! I resize all my photographs of my cards in paintshop. I do them at 72 dpi with the longest side of my crop to be 600 pixels. That way I can upload them to my blog and then click on 'original size' which makes them pop up nice and bog for peeking at. Doing them this way means I can get a lovely big picture on my blog but still have the pages loading quickly as they are not chug chug chugging along trying to load a massive file.

Phew! wafflies over!! hope it helped someone!!

HUge hugs Lou xxx

Its that time of month again for our 'Forgotten Funkies' showcase over on the Get Funky and Craft blog !!! each month our fabulous Funkette's are our blog showing off some new makes with our older downloads.
Minty Madness downloadable craft paper
Today's showcase is centered all around the gorgeously fresh 'Minty Madness' download. Just look at these stunning papers, they are too good to be forgotten!!!

This make was drag and drop heaven and I love how it came out! digital pages are like instant gratification!! he he he he!!!

Well, I had better get going. Scott is at work today..boo and Mo and I need to take him as Mo has an appointment with his 'tummy doctor' today.
